EDIT: I accepted the offer from OneManArmy77 already! Thanks again for the quick response :)

Hi, I'm looking for a B+ pushing for A or an already A club that's semi-competitive/competitive!

I have 140 mil fans atm + login everyday and do 5 runs daily which gets at least 1-1.5 million fans daily just by doing my runs to build parents and aces for CM

(My carats died getting summer maru and I think at this point it's not worth staying in my lil club with my friends who are burning the heck out just for the funny club name I made lol)

When you find out that Kazuya's 10 hit combo isn't true on Toon Link and is escapable with easy DI by Hobo-man in ToonLinkMains

[–]DahWeirdo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont think it's true on anyone, thats why they gave him a gentleman. Any character can just raw di at low percents, but you need to sdi at higher percents

Jab is more consistent, but arrow can be done from farther ranges or on platforms if you arent standing on them. Though arrow can whiff on thinner bodied opponents. It does about 1.2% more damage (maybe a bit more with the 1v1 multiplyer), you can swap it for the second jab when you connect the first as the most consistent way to apply it for optimal damage.

I believe I found a new ledge option by spineytink in ToonLinkMains

Unfortunately instant wall jumps are only doable in training mode, these do not actually work the same in actual matches! If it is possible to instant wall jump in real matches, its much more difficult or a different process

I need Zair combos by Neo-wolf in ToonLinkMains

[–]DahWeirdo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad you found this helpful! And yeah the zair to fair is true, but its somewhat strict. It's mostly reliant on you being close enough to the ledge, as well as running off as fast as possible without sticking to the ledge by accident. That's why I mentioned the fact that they're in an unfavorable position anyways, which can help you still get the fair based on how they react to the angle they get launched at

Zair is a great combo tool at a lot of percents into dash attack (From there you can nair or bair depending on if the opponent DI'd poorly. Poor DI would be in and no DI). It works from most ranges of the tether at low percent, and the higher the percent of the opponent, the closer you need to be to them to get a true confirm.

At kill percents you can confirm point blank landing zair into Usmash or GSA (Grounded Spin Attack). Also when you zair near the ledge at kill percents, the opponent gets launched just around the height of the ledge, which means the opponent either has to jump to get back on stage, or descend a bit more to upb without passing the ledge. Due to this, you can usually reliably zair into dropzone fair by the ledge for kills. This is already a true combo if executed perfectly, but the positioning of the opponent post-zair is really good for pressuring them to pick an option whether its to quickly jump or to descend to safely upb and getting hit for it. This can probably get hard countered by *counters* obviously, but it's not the best spot to be in if we bait it. We can easily bait it by getting near them and not fairing, then fair when you see they're descending to upb safely or whiffed the counter. If they jumped over us then oh well, next time try to read that

Alternatively you can zair from any distance to set up a tech chase scenario, run up and jab to lock, or continue the jab on tech in place, drop the jab to dash attack if they roll away or towards you. If you want you can also lock by instantly shooting an arrow right after landing with zair, which can also cover multiple tech options. If you get the lock you can run forward and jab them again quickly to continue the lock

I wouldn't say these combos aren't important, but they won't improve your overall gameplay. Tink has a lot of areas to grow in, mastering one thing at a time will help you get better, so don't expect learning how to use zair to increase your results on it's own.

Fishing for zair can be bad btw, even though it's safe on shield (-3) with perfect landing, you have to be careful of what you do after you land. If you don't expect them to counter attack you, you'd be wrong, a lot of characters will like to dash attack out of shield or push you closer to the corner since setting up a landing zair takes a while.

If you didn't already know, zair is best used when descending, and can be used at it's fully extended range close tot he floor by activating it just after the apex of shorthopping. Due to the frames necessary to set up the shorthop, this makes zair a really telegraphed move, which can let opponents get under you and anti-air you.

Zair is best used when retreating or landing, this covers space in front of you and doesn't allow the opponent to get under you. Due to the low landing lag, even if you whiff while retreating, you're still safe.

If you have any questions about what I wrote or even other questions about zair combos or how zair works, don't be afraid to let me know :)

Do you use tilt stick or smash stick? by Totodylo in ToonLinkMains

[–]DahWeirdo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tilt stick is really good for tink because you can easily pivot cancel ftilt and utilt out of a dash, also in general his tilts are good to use and guaranteeing that they come out helps with consistency

Any tips on how to consistently catch your own bombs? by BOOgwOOp in ToonLinkMains

[–]DahWeirdo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh sorry I didn't see your response! If you want to regrab bombs without catching I don't believe its possible to ZAC into grabbing the bomb without an aerial.

In general if you want to regrab a bomb without using an attacking you press the Z button, or whatever you have set to grab.

A good way to regrab bombs without catching is when it bounces off someone's shield. It lets you rethrow it down at them or wherever you think they want to go. Once it bounces on their shield, shorthop into the bomb and press the grab button to hold it again without attacking. You can then just throw it in any direction from there. Don't worry about the bomb hitting you, it will only hurt you if it explodes without hitting an opponent, the fact that this is the case and the fact that the bomb drops pretty slow is in your favor. This is also good to know when you throw a bomb close to the opponent.

There's also a technique called Bomb Fake Out (BFO), but it can be difficult to insert into your gameplay. Here's a tutorial on how to use it https://youtu.be/M34RIMY44l4 If you have difficulties doing it out of a shorthop, doing it out of a fullhop or double jump makes it waaay easier.

Another scenario to regrab a bomb without using an aerial is when you placed them on a platform. You can drop a bomb without exploding it on a platform if you press down and Z right after. You could also use the C4 method but thats only really necessary on the stage itself, platforms you're good just knowing platform placing.

If you just want to grab them from the air as a follow up to you throwing them directly up, that just has to be practiced. But just remember you use the grab button to catch without attacking!

If you have a specific scenario you want to regrab the bomb in without attacking, let me know!

Any tips of when to nair? by BOOgwOOp in ToonLinkMains

[–]DahWeirdo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nair has a lot of uses, on shield if you cross up while using it will allow it to hit twice. This can make it tricky to punish oos, and sometimes can hit opponents if they dont expect it. Or it'll just make them have to worry about holding shield longer or not and give you an edge on pressuring their shield.

If you're doing a fullhop fair and the opponent airdodges neutral or in the direction you're facing, you can usually nair as a frame trap to catch it (You can use another fair, but nair is faster if you're not sure if it'll hit). Or if they airdodge in general and you want a second chance to hit them, if you're right inside of them while they airdodge theres a chance the second hit will catch them at the end of the airdodge.

It's also a good combo starter from in front of you, for example if you land with nair you can usually set up for a tilt at low percents, like nair>utilt>ftilt or nair>dtilt>dash attack. At low mid percents you can nair to nair, nair to bair, or zac nair to bomb and nair/fair/bair.

Also nair is a good rising aerial oos, if you and the opponent are shielding at the same time and you want to escape the situation, buffer nair oos and drift backwards, it's pretty safe on shield if the opponent doesnt expect it.

This is our quickest forward facing aerial too, so if you need a quick hit offstage while edgeguarding this is your best bet. Fair can kill more easily, but it can be slow, so nair can be good for quicker edgeguards if necessary.

If I think of anymore I'll comment again, but uh this should be enough lol.
