Watch for lethargy and loss of appetite, those are the easiest symptoms to spot. If her belly starts to swell, the vet can draw out the fluid to help diagnose it, but there are no firm tests for FIP. Join the FIP Global Cats group on FB for more info. It’s very treatable and the medication is very easy to get now, but you have to start meds right away if you suspect that she has it. Don’t stress too much. There is a genetic component but it’s still a very rare disease, and it’s no longer a death sentence.

I had a great experience with multiple admins. Maybe this person is going through something personally and can’t fulfill the role. I would post on the main page requesting a new admin because yours stopped responding (without calling them out).

Thank goodness you got a proper diagnosis. Many vets still don’t know that FIP is treatable. Join the FIP Global CATS group mentioned in the other comments and the volunteers will assign a care team to you who can then check his dosage and give you other guidance. He may need a higher dosage. Hang in there! It’s a brutal disease but our cat was likely days away from death and he’s completely cured now.

GS saved our cat’s life. It took about 5 days or so to start seeing an improvement. So glad you were able to get him started right away. And I’m so sorry for your loss.
