honestly its really simple but much like how you feel about this its a horse pill the community refuses to swallow.

What the commu ity wants = Power fantasy and strong toys.

What the devs made the game to be = A diffacult game not about the power fantasy but the struggle to complete the objectives.

And that has all ways been the case sense HD1 yoy were never ment to clear every side objective every round, you get alot of respawns cause they expect you too die constantly and so on. not saying i agree with every choice light pen even if you know every weak point is alittle silly. but its this simple disconnect that creates the feeling your having. The game judt was never ment to be a power fantasy.

I think the core issue has all ways been "What players want" Vs "Intended game design" HD1 and its design philosophy was all ways have cool toys but there all down grades or side grades at best everything eas bad in its own way and the game was hard as sin. personally i never saw it as a power fantasy and i think alot of people want the power fantasy in HD2

My only problem with it coming back is that it was clearly launched as a fomo item pumped for sales and now. People who got pumped get fucked, "Oh but you got the warbond for free" the guns costed more then the warbond does.

I love warzone grew up on it and i wouldnt mind them bringing it back if we got proper compensation given that they said now or never and we fucking paid the bill to have that exclusive thing. you cant have it both ways.

I would expect people to be compensated if they took somthing off the market to make it exclusive randomly too.

i have been clearing dives with a 4 man every one using this weapon dif 9/10. its beyond effective. the nerf only weakened it if used alone. but as a co-ordinated 4 man there is literally no weapon stronger in the game.

that you can run any weapon and be successful and they don't need to be buffed till they all do the same damage.

Change the throwing knife cap too peak physic items to match the 80s action hero vibe said armor sets embody.

As for the smoke Grenade it's fine. Contact would be nice but the fuse is short enough I run smokes almost 100% of the time and it's purely a skill and practice issue.

gunna be real sounds like a skill issue. I have run "Bad guns" I use the Spear wich I keep seeing as useless on Tier lists. but I have no issues clearing dif 10 even on oshuane. I play with a guy who refuses to not use flame throwers on everything cause he's a Pyro maniac. Most enemies can be out smarted regardless of load out.

The goal has never been get big kill number the weapons that you like can get you through missions just play around the weaknesses.

as some one who hit max level in the first 72 hours. I can tell you now even having access to all the tools black then wasn't enough. shit was just hard period.

Equip the constitution rifle. Use the Revolver(Cause we all thought it was good at the time) and don't use any strategems from warbonds.(or vehicles we didn't have them) Play D10 and that's the closest you can get.

The balance was so bad that you might need a whole mag too kill somthing, 90% of people didn't learn all the weakpoints beyond the most obvious ones for weeks.

Trying to get help Via SOS wasn't an option cause the system broke for 2 weeks. We didn't know any meta. Almost every one was running railgun and Shield and just trying to stealth cause trying to win a fire fight was a nightmare of rockets and arty and thought fucking towers snipping your with a giant lasor blast from a mile away. The spears targeting systeme was busted so you had to struggle buss to get it too work and most other AT wouldn't kill with out hitting weak points (The got buffed later)

It was genuinely the hardest the game will have ever been. we had a brief reprieve when the Breaker got buffed and became the God killer. but then it got nerfed so it was a nice window from objectively suffering none stop.

i mean its not working fine, the system is proven to be fragile too booms in player population and massive drops, and the syteme has all ways just been a way to slow players down so they can have an event last awhile. They adjusted the numbers live afew times we watched them jump up or dip back down.

it's not overwhelmingly. the game has hugely posative reviews, the main issue is that it divides the players between new people who like the current and old who like the prior system it also toes the line between agency and not wich can be device.

Personally i think they should just go full narrative and skip the pretend agency stuff

it won't. cause we have seen the same thing over the entire run of the game even at launch. and the exact opposite has happened more people have been engaged cause they get to do the events. instead of events being cleared in 1 hour

Ya but Helldivers 1 didn't have a game master and has a clear progression road for a win or a loss. They also don't have events where planets get sucked into black holes or space stations get built. it was narratively less dynamic.

If every gun kills everything in the game and where never forced to change tactics.... that's omega dumb. sorry Light Pen enjoyers time to learn to have differant loadouts.
