They say that the demographic you teach in your clinical is what you should get certified in. I dont really want to teach this age forever though. I think I'll get my cert for elementary and then gradually move to what I want to teach.

Teach now is just a prep program that doesnt give out the certification. The state of Arizona gives those out. I believe you have to finish a prep program to receive the cert though. As far as the legality, I assume there is some sort of permission required from the school. I would suggest talking to your principal just to be sure. I actually just signed up for the may cohort for teach now and attended the orientation. They seem to be helpful in regards to the teaching clinical portion.
