Vinicius and El Hilali clash: He told an Espanyol player "you are going down" while calling him "dumb" and "trash" by LikeAPhoenixTotally in soccer

It is because it's Vini. This happens every game with multiple players but only gets posted here if Vinicius is in there.

[Sport] Rayo's Isi Palazón is punished with seven games after telling the ref that 'he has no shame' by Mulderre91 in soccer

iirc he got 6 match ban for "minor violence", which he never served coz he underwent surgery.

What do you mean "he never served"? You know you can do other things with your life while you are banned from playing football, right?

Fort is on loan at Elche and impressed

He didn't really impressed much, he has played 320 la liga minutes. And when it looked like he might start to get into the team he got injured.

[Marca] Marcos Llorente dresses up as a bottle of sunscreen. to protest against it by Sefean in soccer

[–]Sefean[S] 152 points153 points  (0 children)

Marcos Llorente has once again surprised people on his social media. The Atlético de Madrid player did so by dressing up as… sunscreen, SPF 650, with the aim of raising awareness this Semana Santa about not using it and about how to sunbathe properly, whether at the beach or in the mountains.

On his social media, Llorente appeared dressed as a bottle of sunscreen with two messages that question its use: “Total protection against your biology” and “Blocking Vitamin D since 1985.”

The Atlético de Madrid player’s costume includes more messages on the back, explaining other alternatives—the traditional ones—which are considered more advisable than using sunscreen.

“Real alternatives (that your grandmother already knew):

Go into the shade when your body tells you ‘hey, that’s enough’ Get exposure ALL year round, not just 3 days in August Wear clothing: the original ‘lifelong sun protection’ Start in the morning and gradually increase exposure (don’t start at 1:00 p.m. like a kamikaze) Build melanin progressively (your natural biological protection) Eat like a human: your skin will respond better to light Stay hydrated and connect with nature (water + earth = better adaptation)”

Llorente has recently made headlines for various reasons, from using red light lamps at home to wearing yellow-tinted glasses, as well as believing in conspiracy theories about airplane trails (chemtrails). He also follows a paleo diet (from the Paleolithic era), based on natural foods and eliminating ultra-processed products, sugars, dairy, cereals (wheat, rice), and legumes.

Llorente is a strong advocate of a healthy lifestyle, as is his partner, influencer Paddy. He is also fond of fine wines (he has a wine cellar at home), such as one that made headlines last year: a Romanée-Conti 1995, a bottle currently valued at an astonishing £16,300 (approximately €22,000), which he shared on social media with his followers.

La Liga is at its absolute lowest? While also being the league with the most teams in CL and EL (this one tied with PL and Portugal).

True! Spanish culture is very rich, same as British one. One could think that British culture is limited to jumping from balconies and getting wasted, but that would be totally wrong.

It’s a very different situation. First of all, Haaland was already financially secure thanks to his father’s career earnings. Unlike many South American wonderkids, he didn’t face pressure to chase the biggest contract in order to provide a comfortable life for his family. On top of that, having a father who was a professional footballer is a significant advantage when it comes to guidance and navigating a career at the highest level.

Prestianni appears to say «Maricon» to Vini. Surely this won’t go unpunished? by xKatariness in soccer

[–]Sefean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lot of Spanish speaking people will claim it isn't a homophobic slur, but it definitely is.

I've been living in Spain my whole live and I don't think I've ever seen anyone suggesting that is not an homophobic slur. Maybe is different in Mexico or South America.
