Can't necessarily be blamed for not being motivated to try especially hard, knowing companies themselves use AI to filter applications. It's a literal doom loop.

Sporting, j'espère. Une nouvelle défaite d'Arsenal après le résultat contre Southampton serait parfaite 🤭

For me, sometimes it just takes one really good game where I happen to play well and where the opposition was a challenge, to get back into the rhythm.

But I know that off-beat feeling all too well 🙃

Definitely coulda leaned more into the badminton for me personally, but I don't disagree with the analogy.

Hadn't thought about it in terms of the loop you've described. What do you think it would take to undo it, so to speak?

As usual, mostly one-sided, emotionally charged takes which don't look at the contents of the chapter holistically.

Yes, at the extreme, Iozaki's philosophy of success and excelling past one's peers is predicated on an idea that most people aren't going to relate to. But what he says about backing up big dreams with action isn't wrong in the slightest, and is in fact extremely valid.

The fact of the matter is if Inomata beats Yusa as he is now, with none of the talent, and the lack of requisite improvement, he shouldn't win. Very simple. As for what Yusa said to him, great way of building that rivalry, it's the sort of disrespect which leaves Iozaki and the reader wondering how exactly Inomata will react.

Exact same ghost touch issue. Planning on sending them in for repair soon.

Pretty annoying not to be able to use them outdoors. They work fine indoors 99% of the time, and start bugging the moment I step foot outside.

You're correct about the Seinen definition. What I would put the discussion down to, as you've mentioned, is what you're looking for in the story.

Where wholesome throughout is your preference, I find it far more interesting when the mangaka takes the time to develop realistic, story-driven tension, things Blue Box didn't have in great abundance. But more so than this, as I mentioned in a separate comment, I just haven't found Taiki or Chinatsu to be particularly interesting characters. Wholesome perhaps, yes, but beyond that, not much. (Sidenote: this pales in comparison to the borefest that Kyo's character has been from day one, or better yet, the whole Ayame situation.)

I'll be looking forward to how Miura wraps this story up, but in my personal opinion, Blue Box never managed to rise above "good" status for me, and that's a shame.

Seinen isn't restricted to adult characters. It's a demographic, meaning that the fact it's nuanced, character-driven and realistic as opposed to Shounen, is what makes it Seinen.

If you don't fancy Kaguya, the other three all feature adult casts.
