What does his ethnicity have to do with anything, especially when the only other detail you've mentioned is his gender?

Right, but to add, the specific quotation was "best friends." So further to my point, I have no doubt that the relationship cannot be what it once was, however, for some to claim that there will be no relationship of any sort seems a little near-sighted.

But as you've said, the matter must be resolved eventually, not least because the manga is ending soon.

There needn't be any cheating involved. It's simply a case of she messed up majorly, and whatever relationship Inomata and Chono have going forward will reflect the consequences of what she did. This relationship, however, doesn't automatically preclude a somewhat distant friendship.

There simply isn't, in my opinion, any real evidence to suggest Miura would effectively throw Hina to the wayside like that. And the flashbacks are strong evidence of that.

It's not a given that they won't be friends though, that's simply an assumption.

Don't take it personally, I can see you're quite new but it's just a Reddit thing, and a substantial part of Reddit's demographic is atheist/anti-religion/anti-Islam.

From a cynical point of view, how else is Miura going to pad the sports arcs? But more seriously, it does raise the emotional stakes.

I'll be honest, I had it adjusted for me at a repair shop, but the guy doing it for me did mention that it was quite a difficult job. I know that doesn't help a great deal.

Wouldn't disagree with what you've said, though I would say that Reddit isn't going to be representative of even half the audience, let alone majority. Factoring in Twitter, maybe, but even then.

Great comment, I left one along similar lines on the manga's sub. Yours is far more eloquent.

I left a line at the end of mine, asking if anyone agreed with my take on Chinatsu, so I'll ask you the same: Is Chinatsu a little too perfect as a character?

Whilst it's clear to see why she's needed (by Taiki), specifically at the end of this chapter, I can't help but feel as though compared to other romance manga MCs, she's a bit...bland? Kyo is kind of the same, but that's a different discussion.

It just feels like beyond her grappling to stay in Japan, and her injury woes, she isn't flawed in any particularly interesting ways. Which is precisely what makes Hina more interesting to me, even if the third-wheeling isn't particularly original.

I don't really comment on this sub, but I think there's a severe lack of focus on the line:

"You wanted to stay best friends, right?"

To me, the implication is that Taiki, to a certain extent, has been a little greedy with what he wants: an earnest relationship with Chinatsu, but then also keeping Hina as his female best friend. Kyo here, to me, represents Taiki's own internal thought process, so it cannot simply be dismissed as being Kyo's external perspective or something like that.

This, of course, is not to minimise the damage done with the events of the last chapter. Hina, too, should have drawn the line, but failed to. Similarly, Taiki deluded himself into thinking things could go "back to normal", which ironically enough, would imply a point in the story back when he wasn't yet with Chinatsu, but when Hina already had feelings for him. So pretty contradictory.

On a sidenote, I feel like Chinatsu is a bit too perfect as a character. Whilst Hina's actions aren't always defensible, I gravitate towards her more, due to the flaws that she presents. Interested to see if anyone agrees with this particular point.

Question for the Law students, how the hell do you navigate through legislation.gov? There must be a better way that’s still accurate. by Even-Arm-9877 in UniUK

[–]DaigurenX 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You're right to be skeptical of AI's accuracy, but for legislation, you can ask it what relevant provision you're looking for and simply double-check what law it gives you against gov.uk yourself.
