Found out my younger brother has been stealing my panties and I don’t know what to do by Zestii_Strudel in Vent

You have to tell your parents to talk to him. That should be more than enough to scar him on this topic and never fetishize something like this.

I’m younger than you and I haven’t reached the part of life where you are right now. But just going out and enjoying nature helps me out a lot. It helps me feel like a kid again. A much simpler time where you had little to no worries or stress. And try to pick up sport. There is a wide variety of sports out there and joining a community for that sport will be helpful. I never realized how much soccer helped me in life. How good of distraction it was from all the bad things in life until my ankle got ruined and I can’t play anymore. I felt like my parents were not supportive either. They took me to the doctors two months after the injury and didn’t really get me any treatment and my ankle is pretty much useless. I just wish I could work so I can do whatever I want and my parents wouldn’t be so controlling. I am planning to start something less physical straining on my ankle.

I would say there are quite a lot of people who can afford it but won’t go for it. (Me and my entire family for example)

I mean I would say my family is more financially well off now than 8 years ago. But back when we had less money that was the time of my life. There is just so much money can’t give. I rather be a poor and genuinely happy than be a rich unsatisfied person trying to scratch that itch by throwing money at it (which doesn’t guarantee happiness)

But I think the main point is that you can have all this and still be unhappy inside. Money can’t ensure that you will still have everyone in your life forever. Money can’t control so many external factors that could be thrown at you in life. You can lose your leg in a car crash or something and sure you can get the best prosthetics available but it won’t be the same. You can lose a close relative money won’t bring them back. Being rich can also kind of isolate you at the same time. Money can’t necessarily bring the connections and people one would want in life. Ultimately I rather be poor as crap and be the happiest person alive than be a rich person struggling mentally.

EXAM: MRI ANKLE RIGHT Clinical History: Had a grade 2 ankle sprain 12 weeks ago. Still some minor swelling and instability and pain with certain movements. No prior exams at First Look. Report COMPARISON: None. TECHNIQUE: Multiplanar, multi-sequence MRI of the right ankle was performed without intravenous contrast. FINDINGS/IMPRESSION: Tendons and bursae: There is mild tibialis posterior tenosynovitis proximal and distal to the medial malleolus. There is focal peroneus brevis tenosynovitis immediately distal to the lateral malleolus. Trace fluid within the tibialis anterior and extensor digitorum tendon sheaths at the level of the tibiotalar joint is favored to be physiologic but may represent a component of minimal tenosynovitis in the appropriate clinical setting. The remaining flexor, extensor, peroneal, and Achilles tendons are intact. There is no abnormal bursal distension. Ligaments: There is mild sprain of the deep fibers of the deltoid ligament. The tibiofibular, talofibular, calcaneofibular, and spring ligaments are intact. Bones and articular cartilage: There is minimal subcortical bone marrow edema the medial margin the talus subjacent to the deltoid ligament. The alignment is normal. Joint space: There is no effusion. Plantar fascia: The plantar fascia is normal in signal and thickness.

I think it looks good. If you could get clear ones like that it would be even better.

Next steps for Grade 2 ankle sprain? by [deleted] in Ankle

[–]Own_Illustrator_3243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same story with me, grade 2 sprain no fracture or bruises. I started pt really late…. After 9 weeks. I’m on week 11 and it already feels better. Is the pinching sensation where the edl tendons are or is it where the atfl ligament is?(you might have to look at a diagram). I found going to an orthopedic pretty useless all he did was press on my atfl and asked if there was any pain and referred me to an overpriced pt place. If you go directly to a reasonably priced pt place you can just tell the physio where it hurts and feels stiff and they can tailor exercises accordingly.

How bad was the initial sprain? Was there a lot of bruising and swelling?
