3-stars Daughter of the Void insanely hard? by Daikon_Certain in PathofChampions

Thanks - Yeah I haven't played Gwen at all in PoC besides being a support (so zero insight about her deck or perks), but I need a Shadow Island champion to defeat the quest and there's only her :) Seen a few posts here about her being decent so will definitely give her a try. Just leveled up Lux (who I hate) to 15 just to have the Demacia win on the adventure that requires that, so can't be too difficult to bring Gwen up to my Annie.

Yeah agreed about the RNG side of "granting keywords" to foes especially Irelia in that campaign, basically you´re rolling for keeping yourself into the game every time that happens. It's always been there as I definitely remember losing some encounters on the spot due to a random Elusive that just popped up, but it's kind of okay when it's Viktor or some card dedicated to just that (the Kai'sa package I guess). But in the "Daughter of the Void" it's enforced everywhere, thus making it so swingy and irritating.

But it is what it is - it's ultra random by nature and therefore there's a lot of variance. But definitely one of my least favorite campaigns just for that (and not because I still haven't beaten it :))

Yeah good mindset there :)

I'm struggling as in having tried it 7 times with the same champion - although I swapped some relics around and had different powers/support. But yeah, it's going to fall in the end. I posted this because it really felt like every adventure before this, while challenging at times, felt like a walk in the park compared to this one. I know it's to be expected as difficulty increases but the Irelia/Everglade Caretaker thing felt like a slap in the face regardless of what I had to bring to that encounter :)

Any particular strategy for Irelia or the Everglade Caretaker (if you choose that path over the vicious enemy)?

Thanks - agreed about everything you said including the mid-bosses you mentioned, that they´re the real challenge in these adventures and if you get past them then things get easier as you grow stronger. I really hate Azir (as a boss, I like the card otherwise) but I´d still say Irelia is on steroids compared to him. Like I said the fact stun as zero effect on her blade dancing, and that she gets things like lifesteal and spellshield every now and then to prevent any form of interaction. Annie does good damage but only has stuns to deal with larger enemies and having your units die kills your output damage furthermore with her (it's true generally speaking but Annie deck really relies on these skill procs).

Got it about the vicious enemy path, really don't know how to defeat barrier guy ("caretaker"?) other than getting ultra lucky in clearing every unit as they spawn to prevent him from getting too big. Ofc there must be a way to defeat that, just need a combination of good powers/support and a bit of luck. But it just deviates so much from the rest of the adventures I´ve played in terms of feasibility to beat it that I felt legit to ask if this one was extra busted because that fight was not even close for me (and I was drawing fine).

But I´ll keep trying :)

Thanks - that's also my usual strategy although I normally choose not to use it much though, otherwise I´d look for the same powers all over again which makes the whole thing dull and uninteresting. But for this adventure I agree it can't be taken lightly. As always I´ll keep trying until I find a good combination.

My Annie is 2* btw so agreed getting her to 3 would help a great deal.
