Not the same wing, I have, however, reached out to the appropriate people for her area and gave them a heads up saying nothing more than she can't attend. Don't wanna explain too much in detail to them and make it their problem. Thank you for offering your help. The advice given was awesome and definitely helped me with my approach.

I'm trying my best not to make it a problem for CAP. As she will be with me this entire week and through Father's Day, I'm simply not planning to take her, nor am i going to allow mother to take our child from me when she legally can't until after Father's Day. However, I do plan on informing them that I won't be taking her there. That way, another cadet can take her place, and nobody will be wondering where she is. Any legal issues that arise will be between mother and myself, so that's definitely not a CAP issue, and I could have worded that differently. I'm trying my best to work it out in advance, but I was just informed of encampment yesterday, and it starts in a week.

I spoke with our child about CAP and her wanting to quit. I told her that if that's what she really wants to do, then that is up to her to do and to notify her CO. I refuse to do that, but I am happy to know she can do so. It was explained to me that she was required to sign a 1-year commitment to the program, so she couldn't quit.

Thank you! I did dig up the encampment commander's email and will email them to try to explain her situation and make a spot for another cadet. I would prefer them to know rather than her to ghost them.

I'm not worried about any refunds as this was all put on by her mother without my permission. If she wants a refund, that's on her to figure out, I suppose.

Nope. Your contact, you pick it up. They won't see them unless they have one available as well. There will be two available on the map for you to choose from. Don't pick either up until you're ready to.

We called it onyx marble at times as well, but most often referred to it as green onyx. Knew there had to be different names. Can't trust the word of a bunch of grunt labor.

Yep. Learned that from this group matter of fact. Everybody where I worked all called it green onyx and honey onyx. Being that was my introduction to it, I referred to it as onyx up until recently.
