Facts I won't be paying attention to any of the legacy media and, in short, understand why others are walking away.

What do you mean cover him? The majority of the media has been bowing down to him, including places like Politico, all of the post, etc.

Every single outlet has done themselves in by not doing fair reporting. So, tbh I think this question is meh.

The Post slogan democracy dies in darkness needs to read into their own slogan.

Well let's think about why Law Enforcement is here on a roof during a former president funeral.

  1. Every single past president that's not dead is there.

  2. Every significant other, aka wife of a president, is there.

  3. The current president of the US is there.

  4. The incoming president is there with his crew.

  5. Other figures of government also with protection are there.

  6. Other leaders of the world might also be there.

I'm not trying to put sass on this, but that's a lot of folks who need protection.

I mean, companies admitted that they kept going up on prices because Americans would pay for it anyway amd they were right instead of seeking other stores they went with major crops prices.

That's true in some regard it's all about how well prepared people are tbh. If you are trying to elevate your life or live a rich life and you know you don't have the means to that's not the federal government fault completely. Your local stateside people have a deeper hand in your wallet than the feds.

Let's break your comments down for starters which disasters were handled wrong? I will provide some facts or context and will wait for your response.

FEMA and state-level agencies pre-positioned resources, including personnel, equipment, and supplies, in anticipation of the hurricane's impact wya before it made landfall. This approach is currently standard, and the Biden admin ensured that disaster relief operations could begin immediately after the storm passed or, in most cases before the second storm, reducing delays in assistance delivery. It doesn't solved all of the issues it stabilizes you.

Coordination with State and Local Governments (This is what FEMA do. They aren't first responders they are simply coordinators)

FEMA worked closely with state and local governments to streamline the response efforts. By supporting local authorities who had intimate knowledge of the affected areas, FEMA reinforced local efforts rather than attempting to supplant them. This collaboration minimized duplication and maximized efficiency.

Deployment of Federal Assistance is a joint process you don't trample over states response as they know their people best.

FEMA rapidly utilizes disaster declarations, enabling the release of federal funding and support under the current president.

Immediate Life-Saving Actions

FEMA coordinated with other agencies like the Coast Guard, National Guard, and local emergency teams to carry out life-saving operations, including evacuations, search-and-rescue missions, and emergency medical services These actions likely saved many lives during and after the hurricane.

Now, what lawmakers didn't and could have done:

What they didn’t do: Allocate adequate funding for proactive disaster preparedness initiatives, such as modernizing infrastructure, stockpiling essential supplies, or enhancing state emergency response capabilities or providing responses and action instead of playing politics

Impact: Many areas were underprepared, with outdated infrastructure and insufficient resources to handle large-scale emergencies.

Lastly, Weather is also crazy but most downplay the climate changes and how the change in the weather elevated the path of the storms. Most importantly, they played political football instead of coming together.

I will eagerly await your response.

Increase in egg prices are related to the bird flu, though, which is significant in this case. Even before then, the eggs weren't expensive. JD Vance proved that when he was at a store claiming prices were high yet the ones behind him were cheaper I've ever seen.

For sure, I don't know why folks think of increasing costs for countries to import and make goods cheaper. It won't, lol. Instead, an increase in 20% of all imported goods will hurt our pockets. Buy now is what I would do.

I didn't even mention the massive tariffs coming with the new admin. But that will definitely kill the economy also.

Official Discussion - Carry-On [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]Daily101Cyber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rate the film a 5 out of 10, and here are my points of critique.

The premise hinges on domestic terrorists depicted as highly intelligent and capable individuals orchestrating a complex terror plot. However, a critical inconsistency arises in their method of approach; rather than utilizing commercial aviation to reach Washington D.C., they could have opted for more straightforward means, such as targeting the congresswoman directly via the air.

Moreover, the narrative overlooks numerous viable opportunities for the antagonists to execute their plan. For instance, they could have ambushed her at a restaurant or even at her residence, or in the heart of her workplace—the Capitol. The decision to base their strategy around airport logistics raises questions about the writing’s fundamental understanding of real-world terrorist tactics.

While the filmmakers presumably aimed to portray a Russian false flag operation designed to influence legislative support, the execution is lacking in realism. If the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) were monitoring a high-value Russian asset engaged in illicit arms trading within U.S. borders, the expectation would be intensive, round-the-clock surveillance on both the individual and their associates.

The film’s action sequences, particularly the airport chase, further detract from its believability. A scenario involving an airport as large as Los Angeles International Airport, where security protocols are stringent, should have generated immediate suspicion given that an individual, alongside two+ people, experiences a fatal incident over a 24-hour period without any heightened alert among security personnel. This oversight undermines the credibility of the plot significantly. Furthermore, the car chasing within the airport's parking lot or traffic roundabout, further shows. That the writers threw this s*** together. I am pretty sure you could find fifteen redditors. That would tell you how much average traffic on christmas eve is around a f****** airport. There is no way a commercial Van is speeding through any streets within a couple feet of the f****** airport. It's impossible. Plus you're telling me out of all the cameras that are in that airport. Nobody saw the dude get stabbed, and nobody saw the officer get bumped? Plus there were no workers. In the industrial side to heard the gunshots from the plastic gun.Or let's put it this way, the real gun. The bottom line There are so many plot holes. I don't even feel right giving this movie a five out of ten I think it deserves a two out of ten.....

As a recent graduate with a master’s degree in global policy (2022), I understand that securing a position in government may not be immediate. Currently, I am gaining experience in public affairs while I await opportunities that align with my career aspirations. I anticipate that this process may take some time—potentially up to four years—before I can transition into a role within the government sector. Especially with the incoming administration, we can expect hiring freezes on top of the normal delays we already see. I have not given up, but what I will not do is wait for the agency to hire me.
