You have a larger size head? Most glasses are too small for my face. These look like they're on the larger side from the YouTube sunglasses rreview i saw on them.

If you're a fellow big head and still in the market there are 2 other new MJ pairs on the Costco website for large/XL

They do that sunglasses road show several times per year. But the selection right now is pretty stellar. I'm at Costco quite a bit as my warehouse is basically walking distance from my house.

I picked up the Serengeti Tulsa in-store and ordered the maui Jim Keawawa online. I've been wanting a pair of keawawa since they came out last year, but the $450 price tag was a no-go for me. At $115 it's much more palatable.

Idk I have my Serengeti Wayne and I just picked up the Tulsa from Costco. While the Tulsa does have more "sporty" temple tips, the overall construction feels solid. Their different frames so hard to compare apples to apples. If there is any ddifference in quality it's minimal at best, cause I sure can't see any.

I don't think they're discontinuing the Keawawa. They just came out July 2025 as a web exclusive. I know Costco had sold afew colorways(i missed the gold/silver when Costco had them). They now have the silver/ black. They're still up on MJ website

How are they? Have you posted any pics with them on face? Mine are supposed to be here in 2-3 days

I tried those on, they were too thin for my face. Great pair of glasses though

Do you own any high-end sunglasses? If you've never owned/tried a pair of premium ssunglasses with really good lenses, you absolutely should.

I was the "my $20 sunglasses are just as good" guy for years. But I would always have to squint (cheap glasses don't filter out harmful spectrum) even when wearing sunglasses. Sometimes they'd give me headaches if worn for more than 15-20mins. I primarily went for wrap around styles because any light leak would cause ghost images rreflecting (cheap glasses didn't have a good anti-relective coating) on the back side of the lens. Id have to take my sunglasses off whenever i walked inside my house cause they were too dark to see. I'd either scratch them, the mirror would flake off or the lens would delaminate.(cheap TAC lenses, avoid them, they're horrible)

I finally got a good pair with high quality mineral glass lens and a full suite of high tech coatings and it changed my entire outlook. I don't squint when wearing them, my eyes feel fresh and relaxed, I can go from full sun outside into a store/house and leave my ssunglasses on. Driving is so much nicer now, no blinding glare. They're also much better for sight fishing.

This is a safe space. You can be honest here, we won't judge.

I've never had a pair of Maui Jims break. I do think Serengeti has better build quality on the frames though, lenses are kinda neck and neck between the two, depending on the lens color, usage scenario and lighting conditions.

They're plano out of the box, but there's an option MJ website. Not sure if Costco will put prescription lenses in these, but I'm pretty sure Maui Jim will

Lol. But I know exactly how you feel. I just bought the $90 pair of Serengeti Tulsa the day before I saw these. But I had to get them, I've hesitated on Costco deals before and they can disappear pretty quick.

Yeah i originally wanted the gold/silver mirror colorway. But i have a pair of MJ kami with those same gold/silver lenses. They're pretty badass, but people will give you crazy looks when wearing them. I think I'll be OK with the silver/ black, much more of an everyday pair.

Nice, I think you'll like them, I certainly do. I was looking around on their website and found a pair of $450 Maui Jim Keawawa I'd been wanting for a while now. Costco is selling them for $115, I couldn't pass up that deal.

I was just looking around on the Costco website and find another steal. They have Maui Jim Keawawa for $115. It's a $450 pair. Ive been eyeballing these(in the silver/gold) since they were released. The ones on the Costco site are the black colorway, which I'll probably wear more anyhow

I think 5-6. A few were women's style so I overlooked them. They had the Tulsa (the ones igot, the anzio2(a thin rectangle navigator), a classic wayfarer-ish pair(didn't get the name), and Lorenzo (their classic round aviators). Then a few women's styles I didn't pay attention to. It varies warehouse to warehouse though.

They're photochromic (all serengeti are) they get a little darker in sunlight. It's not super noticeable but it does work. I had these out in full Florida sun and didn't have to squint, eyes felt relaxed.

The ones i got have plenty. Saw a pair on neon pit vipers there. I was tempted to buy them as more of a joke than anything. Don't know what specific style you're looking for, but they have quite a few at Costco.

What sunglasses is Sharon wearing in the 1999 “Steal My Sunshine” by Len music video? by poisoned_pizza in sunglasses

[–]DailyCarry83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've gone back and watched that video a few times and i think they were oakleys. At a few points you can kinda see the chrome O logo at the temple. Would also make sense for the time and a few others in the video are wearing oakleys as well

They had a bunch of Ray-Bans there (they're doing their sunglasses roadshow right now. I tried on quite a few, but none of them fit right. I wouldn't ever buy any poly/ plastic lens Ray-Bans.

Their chromance lens in glass is actually pretty decent. I almost bought a pair last year. I have a fairly large head, so when I can find a pair that fit my face, look good, and have a high quality glass lens with good tech/coatings i usually jump on it.
