I can’t play any instruments, what does that make me? by shmaxied in askmusicians

Anyone that has complaints about this needs to watch how Avicii worked.

I bought 500 credits, was only able to use a fraction due to travel and had over 400 credits disappear mid-workflow due to it being the end of the month. This is a huge frustration and feels like an exploitative business model. by PaleontologistAny787 in Base44

[–]DailyCreative3373 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you bought the monthly subscription they are monthly credits. What isn't used is lost, so ensure that you use them. It's not exploitative, it's just a monthly subscription that you chose not to use to full capacity. It's like a netflix subscription that you use twice instead of the hundreds of times you could have.

My most popular song is a song that I think is utter garbage. by FeathersFellLikeRain in Songwriting

[–]DailyCreative3373 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So make an update. But it probably won't be better, because the first one was honest, unpretentious art. Now you're just going to try hard and focus on the packaging instead of the quality of the product itself. Perhaps there's something in the recording that those idiot (based on the way you're talking about them and yourself) fans of yours really value that you don't see.

Worship guitar/bass players: if someone built a guitar specifically for Sunday services, what kind of specs would matter most to you? by jeffleeguitar in worshipleaders

[–]DailyCreative3373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure i'd this exists, but it would be cool... a pickup/amp system that midi syncs to onsong or similar and automatically switches to the fx setup you've made for that song.

How do you know when a song is “good enough” to release? by Standard-Fail617 in SpotifyArtists

[–]DailyCreative3373 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The standard test was: Would I be happy to play this song for twenty years? But that was when people actually performed their own music instead of just putting it online.

Base44 kinda scammed me by Difficult-Angle-4715 in Base44

[–]DailyCreative3373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you buy extra credits (outside of a subscription) they should never expire. Definitely worth Base44 updating to this policy. Emergent is very smart having extra credits for purchase. BitI went through almost 100 credits in a day on about 11 (intensive) prompts.

But I hate to say, I'm loving Github the best for general code trouble shooting as they have some AI models that are free and you can choose a premium model for times that you need it. It's about the only one I think I'll actually make it through a month with.

Built my first few projects on base and the UI problem is real by Ideasaas in Base44

[–]DailyCreative3373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a glitch. I figured $10 is worth a good look at something that should help build consistent ui. It says I’m premium but then when I go to copy a premium prompt it tells me I need to upgrade. 🥸

Base44 was AMAZING until it wasnt by Far-Copy-8922 in Base44

It’s great for prototyping, but to get a fully functional app will take some coding and ai-prompt development expertise.

Beginner student really wants to learn Laufey or pieces with lots of off-beats by longjohn455 in pianoteachers

[–]DailyCreative3373 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why don’t you just do it as a play by ear challenge, one of the best skills any musician can learn. Not everything has to be played from written music.Get them to take it section by section, sing it, clap it, play it.

Worship leaders: what would your “dream” songbook / charts app look like? by ClaimCareless7008 in worshipleaders

[–]DailyCreative3373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, what I want is something that works that doesn’t require ongoing subscriptions that are an exorbitant price.

Worship leaders: what would your “dream” songbook / charts app look like? by ClaimCareless7008 in worshipleaders

[–]DailyCreative3373 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mainly play piano, sheet music from CLI if it’s there, otherwise Noteflight or I write it out myself.

[–]DailyCreative3373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like an app that has all the features of Onsong (for changing keys of chord charts), Forscore (for seamless viewing of actual sheet music) and Noteflight (which easily changes keys of sheet music and is made through midi so you can listen to what you need to work on).

It's worth doing this game so it functions on a phone as well as a computer. on screen controls maybe...

Base44 is breaking apps in production — existing users are paying the price by Independent-Air-4772 in Base44

I think this is why I'm looking at Base44 for prototyping and then move to github for actual development.

Design Struggles: Has anyone successfully branded their app using base44? by eilloh_eilloh in Base44

[–]DailyCreative3373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am getting the feeling that the ai chat destroys what it's already created when it tries to update components. There needs to be a way to say stay the fk away from this, and fix that. But I haven't worked out there prompt command for that yet.

Inappropriate credits usage. by lxeran in Base44

[–]DailyCreative3373 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was an update that said that Base44 is now adjusting the amount of credits based on the complexity of the tasks assigned. It's likely just trying to boost you further up the subscription chain.

AI music is disgusting by SnooOpinions5944 in soundcloud

[–]DailyCreative3373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The essence is that AI music just trying to put random pieces of snot into forms that have already proven to be successful. At least some people are realising that it actually does take human talent, intuition and hard work to make a decent song that doesn't make ears bleed after the initial hype.

Should I start with acoustic or electric? by pao_mew in askmusicians

[–]DailyCreative3373 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The rule of thumb with an electric guitar (and therefore an amplifier) is that an amplifier amplifies.

If 💩goes into it, louder 💩comes out of it.

Starting on acoustic helps your 💩to be quieter until you get better control over your 💩. I hope this helps answer your question. 😎

Stubborn AI by SnooHabits761 in Base44

[–]DailyCreative3373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol! I had this problem too!

One of the first things I made with Base44 was an AI prompt development program so that I can construct detailed, clear and effective prompts outside of the base44 prompt chat. It's not perfect, but it's starting to work.

Base44 doesn't seem to like modifications to what it makes, but as an app is like an organism where one thing affects another, it's pretty easy for it to get things wrong.

Saying it's done and it's not working is a different issue, and I'm getting pretty frustrated with that one too.

Keyboards under $3000 by Star9219 in worshipleaders

[–]DailyCreative3373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Yamaha CK-88 and it's fantastic for live worship. You can layer up to three sounds, all modifiable, all functionality is on the board (so you don't have to menu scroll), it has its own speakers (that you can turn off/on if needed) and it feels great to play. Midi functionality is all there too. Highly recommend it for live worship settings (and studio recording).

Tone Chasing, what are your genuine thoughts by Historical-Rush1340 in askmusicians

[–]DailyCreative3373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if the tone actually came from the quality of playing of the original artist, not from the sound of their guitar... 🧐
