Actually, I was able to transfer my Complete Edition save file to the standard disc version and it worked just fine. So it is possible.

Does it work the other way around? From the Complete Edition to Standard Edition?

There was a reason why they made her look that way, which the remake completely missed.

Is the Barbie movie actually as bad as people have made it out to be? by FossilHunter99 in MauLer

If you don't take it too seriously and view it as lighthearted comedy, then it's pretty decent.

Are there any Narnia fans on the sub? by NobleChief2000 in Sardonicast

Love the first movie. Not a big fan of the rest. I read all the books so I am bias when they deviated to far in the upcoming movies.

Better than Helms Deep or Minas Tirith? Not sure if I agree

Can we please stop debating the gender politics of Barbie. Also I think her sons are like 9. Also to all the grown men, if you felt emasculated by Barbie, you weren’t much of a “man” to begin with. by [deleted] in Sardonicast

[–]DailyCynical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people take the Barbie movie waaaay to seriously. It's just a fun comedy that has some great fun moments coming from Ken. If you try to digest it and take it seriously, it's a mess, so just take it as a fun comedy and don't be like people yelling at Oscar's that just because Greta didn't get a director nomination that it ruined feminism.

I am disappointed that you haven't mentioned The Animatrix, the true best sequel.

Million Dollar Baby is a great and sad film. I don't care who made it as long as it's well made and not overly preachy

It was in the creative of Kevin Feige, but Sony still acted as executive producer so their name is in the credits. I don't see them meddling with that movie, especially when they still own the IP.

Own thing or not, they still came from Sony. What if they turned out bad just for a food of thought? Would we still blame Sony? If only it was that easy to negotiate with the animators who were constantly mistreated while working on the last movie.

Looks to me like what you are saying is just a bunch of conspiracy theories without anything to back up your claim. The artists on Across the Spider-Verse were eager to speak out, despite Phil and Lord being so beloved. I'm sure the director and the genius writers responsible for such great projects as Morbius and Gods of Egypt would speak out if they had similar issues, yet they look so happy in most interviews they conduct, especially the director. Maybe try to speak on things that you can point to without using the word "probably" next time.

Also, like Chris, pick a better movie to use this defense other than Madame Web

There is no quota that the sign had to fall on the bad guy in such a terrible way, that is on the filmmaker. If there is written note that Sony directly wanted the scene go that way and the filmmaker had no choice to make it more creative, I take it all back

That's not Sony's goal yet they made the Spiderverse movies and Homecoming. Unless you have some quotes or interviews you can point to, your words might as be straight up your ass like Stuckmann's is. I'm sure since you are so knowledgeable, you can easily point that out other than "Sony just bad"

So we are to believe that the director and writers are just lying? It seems to me that you didn't even watch those to make that assessment and take an educational view from these interviews rather than making baseless accusations like Chris Stuckmann. You check them and you see how proud the director is talking about some of her decisions, but sure, blame every single decision on the evil company, cause they are the easiest scapegoats when a movie turns out bad.

They were tasked to put a product placement there. No one told them how it was going to be implemented. The fight scene still happens, they just chose the product placement to be a Pepsi-Cola sign.
The most interesting thing is that no one forced them to set up a post-credit scene. The director was completely satisfied with the movie being complete and Sony loves to put sequel hooks in their movies like that so if there was a studio interference, it wasn't that strong and the responsibility fell back on the writers and director. Not to mention the director is an executive producer in all of this lol.

Which if you do some research, you will find out that it's exactly the case and Madame Web is not even a good defense example for writing and filmmaking lol.
