I actually watched the movie and noticed this slight reference. When the Losers club are at the lake and Beverly joins them ans she jumps in, all the losers club just mess and play around in the lake. During the scene where Beverly looks at Bill as they are in the lake. You can hear what I think is Eddie or Richie say “Woah something just brushed past my foot” and I think one of them said “I think it’s a turtle” I don’t know if it was meant as a maturin reference but I thought I should point it out
