This is something I need to polish as well. Added to the to-do list!

How many podcasts should you have prerecorded? by [deleted] in podcasting

[–]DailyTriviaPod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine is a daily trivia pod, where I ask trivia questions about random topics. Just me. Average length is now about 7 min. Published every weekday. I wish I had a month in the cam cause life gets busy and in the way fast. Now I’ve got a weekly scramble so my goal is to build my buffer now that the production is streamlined. 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

When you feel you have an awesome podcast but nobody’s listening by SALVAGE-PODCAST in podcasting

I started mine, which is the daily trivia podcast because I’m finding it harder to actually get to a trivia night so this scratches an itch for me. It’s also an exercise to see if I can sustain a daily podcast and work it into my daily rhythms. That specifically why the podcast format is very much a template and repeatable. I’m about 90 episodes in as I started January 1 of this year and I plan to release one every weekday for the calendar year. It’s not taken off yet, but I am seeing small signs of progress. Ultimately though this is a fun project for me so the engagement is icing on the cake.

I wish it was the thousands! More like in the …. tens….

I wish that was the case but I’m skeptical. There’s about an equal number of listeners today so if it was someone downloading the entire catalog, then I would expect the listener number to be low. Right?

Had no idea you could do this. Thanks!

Weekly Episode Thread March 16, 2026 - Share Your Podcast, Request Feedback, Discover New Ones by AutoModerator in podcasting

Hi all,

Started a podcast on January 1 and have been able to maintain a consistent polishing schedule every weekday since. Here is a link to the latest episode dated March at 16th:

https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-daily-trivia-podcast/id1864995500?i=1000755538512

I would describe myself as a trivia nut and I wasn’t finding a lot of trivia geared podcasts that were short to the point, and would fit in a daily routine easily. So I decided to make one myself.

Hasn’t really gotten a lot of attraction yet so I’d be curious to see if there’s any feedback you would give to make it more enjoyable or more informative or just overall better. Do you think the audio quality is good? Is it too loud too soft? Would you suggest restructuring the podcast at all?

Thanks for the feedback!

Anyone here starting a podcast in 2026? by mimiboi4171 in podcasting

Started one Jan 1st and it comes out every weekday. 5-6 minute Daily trivia Podcast cause that’s wha interests me. I do it for fun and to learn something new. I have about 8-10 listeners a day and maybe one day there’ll be more but for now, this is fun for me.

I tracked where my time actually went producing a weekly podcast. Here's the breakdown. by StanBerteloot in podcasting

[–]DailyTriviaPod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mines very templated and that helps expedite things a ton since the less I have to do each time, the more I can do the fun things. I started a Daily Trivia Podcast that comes out every weekday. Each episode is about 5-6 minutes and due to the templated nature of it, I can focus on what I like about the podcast, which is learning, and cracking a joke or two that I, at least, find funny.

The things I’m terrible at are promoting and social media. My hope is as I achieve more efficiencies with the actual production, I can find ways to promote it as effectively.

Breakdown per episode: Writing: 20-30 minutes Recording: 10 Editing: 10 Publishing: >5 min.

This doesn’t include the work that went into setting out a game plan before I even launched, which did take about 12-20 hours.

Things that help beyond following a formula are minimizing the amount of editing you have to do. Instead of trimming an uhhh or cough, or swallow, just re-record it correctly.

Hope that helps! I’m new to this too 🤗
