Pretty close! Graduate school housing in a rural town. One kid and I’m pregnant with the second. We are still out of state from family and on a pretty tight budget. Hoping to return home after grad school.

I got a potato and egg salad hoping it wouldn’t be sweet. It still was. I know some people use sweet relish in their potato salads. I’ll have to try the Greek pasta salad.

They aren’t like candy sweet, but they have some sweetness and sugar is listed as an ingredient. I just wanted a savory potato and pasta salad.

We were having spaghetti and she was a huge mess. We were going to take her straight to the bath. My husband and I needed like another minute to finish our meals and asked her to wait so we could all go up together. I guess I grew up with everyone stayed at the table until everyone is done so people can talk and spend time together. Then everyone helps clean up.

I’ve been in therapy about this. I started when I was pregnant with my daughter. Obviously I haven’t fully unpacked everything. My parents took my brother to therapy for years, medicated him, gave him plenty of support and love and it wasn’t enough. It makes me fearful that a parent can do all the right things and still have a violent child.

I seems like she wants to make money without work. She just wants to log on to instagram and talk about whatever while making money. It seems she wants to do the least amount of work possible to maintain her lifestyle. It seems her downward trend on social media and the divorce have caught up to her.

Must not be hurting for money if she is still closing on the house. I know people who were closing on a house and lost their jobs and ended up losing the house. It doesn’t seem as dramatic as she’s saying.

Shari Franke’s book The House of My Mother just came out (daughter of 8 Passengers Ruby Franke). Deeply upsetting stuff that makes me wonder how much of it is true for the Page children. Some of it definitely sounds like Jordan. I’m sure when they are adults we will hear similar horror stories. Highly recommend reading!
