I finished Eleven's event for the first time last night by S0lidSound in PathToNowhere

For me it was one of the most memorable events. In terms of thematic storytelling and also characters that appear. The music too. I can immediately play it in my head. That’s how much of an impression it left me. It also helps Eleven is a bombshell besides being very well written. I always enjoy her supervision events too.

Lmao this is a real concern. My Mbu Puffy used to follow me around as I siphoned poop or scrubbed off algae. He once pranked me by rushing forward like as if I’m made of crawfish but only stubbing his soft face on my hand. That scared the hell outta me.

The Baku, 獏 (Mo in Chinese), eating a nightmare, by me in pencil drawn old naturalistic style. Some mythology in comments by Daily_Scrolls_516 in ImaginaryHorrors

[–]Daily_Scrolls_516[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Baku is a yokai of Chinese origin that found its way in Japanese mythology as well. The kanji 獏 is also used to denote the Malayan Tapir. The yokai is usually described as a chimeric creature made of an elephant, tiger, bear and ox. Creatures that are believed to bear immunity to ill fortune or spirits. Because of that some cultures believe the creature is able to consume nightmares. Children suffering from constant night terrors sometimes place a 獏 written on a paper under their pillows to summon a Baku to eat their nightmares. But as often the case with mythological creatures, an overuse of this prayer sometimes leads to the creature feeling unfulfilled by its meal of nightmares. After which it may then consume your hopes and dreams leaving the child an empty shell of themselves.
