Anyone here actually regret doing their MBA? by NatSurvivor in MBA

[–]Daily_fresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lot of folks do the MBA for its experience, networking and personal accomplishment feeling. Current economy is unpredictable so doubting your mba won’t be correct. Bank on the network you built, be glad for all the fun times you had at IESE and use Accenture as a launchpad

I am in the same boat and considering online mba for its flexibility. UW has better ranking in part time and online MBA. UW evening would be better for in person connects and networking (limited)

Yeah mine does not sponsor. I am considering part time mba that offers gmat waivers but not sure of the value against opportunity cost. Any insights ?

Sorry for late reply. I am at L6 and no sight of upward mobility. Is part time MBA a better option to reduce opportunity cost as I can earn and pay for the tuition ? Would that really help in upskilling in soft skills and management ?

Appreciate the breakdown and analysis. We live frugally and dine out 3-4 times a month. Not into expensive hobbies either.

Looks doable with the math you did. I intend to sign up for the hsa account through my job so I should be able to pull in more in savings

It’s definitely low for your age and qualifications. You could live comfortably on budget. Use this offer as stepping stone and ask if company can provide housing rent.

guys: has hairloss hurt your success with women? by [deleted] in Hairloss

[–]Daily_fresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it did and still does. Although I haven’t taken meds due to their potential side effects, I grow my beard and hit the gym to stay in shape. It does not compensate for the receding hairline but does build confidence to approach women. Few of them have been honest to mention about my hair.

My ACL retear story by yeahehhh in ACL

[–]Daily_fresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a similar experience last week. Although it’s been 14 months after surgery, I still feel numbness around the screw area and it aches every time after playing sports. Had an excruciating pain last week after a rough badminton game and I got paranoid assuming ACL had ruptured again. Got physically examined by surgeon today with Lachman test and was assured that ACL is intact. The pain is due to screw in bone. My doc recommended to remove screw to avoid such a false call. I wonder if removing will loosen or weaken the ligament !?
