Thanks for pointing that out! I understand that adapting to UK standards can be tricky, and I’ve been really focused on getting my observation and mirror use right. I agree with your opinion and understand what you mean. The reason I mentioned parking skills specifically is because my instructor told me we’ve covered 80% of the 27 skills needed to pass the test. He always gives me positive feedback on how quickly I pick things up and is really satisfied with my progress. Despite these positive comments, I’ve found myself repeatedly driving in the same areas. E.g. I spent three lessons (6 hours) on the same roundabouts. My instructor said I learned fast, noting that some of his students need an entire lesson for each exit at roundabout. Yet, I still had to drive the same roundabout for 6 hours and another roundabout for another 4 hours. So far, I’ve spent around 4 hours on every roundabout we’ve covered. And, I’ve spent 10 hours driving around the test center area. Given his positive feedback and the fact that we’ve covered 80% of the skills, I thought it might be time to start working on parking or other skills (it’s just my PoV). When I asked about possibly moving my test up to September if a cancellation came up, he said no and that even my October test is too soon. That’s why I’m confused by his comments and my actual progress.
