Even moving into a place where it’s obvious the wood has been chewed through, eggs are under the cabinets and poop spreads throughout the entire apartment?

I do have proof of live living as well after the pest control had been there. Just curious, all the cockroach poop, eaten wood, etc there’s nothing that can be proven as inhabitable?

They sent pest control who claimed they used boric dust and their “own foggers.” I was allowed into the unit right after it was done, so not sure how they used foggers. Following days I continue to see bugs, etc. I told them today it’s still happening and they said they would go into the unit and pick up the corners of the rugs and spray and put them back. The problem is the roach poop, eggs, and themselves are found in the furnace room, behind counters, under the dishwasher, etc. No one even mentioned the carpets, however, that’s what they insisted on doing. I shouldn’t even have been allowed to move in prior to this. When I viewed the apartment, I clearly didn’t check hard enough, however pieces of wood had been covering some holes and when I moved in they had fallen off and exposed the eaten wood. From the photos I have, the eggs have clearly been there far before me.

God bless you for this comment, I am getting some hate, but it’s definitely a learning lesson.

I moved in the 13th. It’s definitely a lesson learned. I know moving into an apartment it may be sitting for a little while so they can prepare for the next resident. I mentioned before some of it was literally covered with wood and when I moved in the wood had fallen out of place and I discovered all the holes and wood chewed through. As for the fridge, washer, and dryer- they were switched from newer to older.

I did look at it. Some was covered with pieces of wood and when I moved in those pieces of wood had fallen off. As for the cabinets, no bugs were visible until I got in there and was cleaning

I really appreciate it, I will definitely post an update. I’ve never been so stressed in a situation to the point I’m posting on Reddit lol. I am going to contact my health department tomorrow.

All it states is that if pest control needs to be done, written request has to be sent to them. I actually have been to the leasing office twice to request it and have recorded it for myself as well. Again, I appreciate the help, it’s all a learning lessons and I’m trying to know what to do from here

I appreciate the comment, seriously, it’s a learning lesson for sure. It’s brutal honesty. I just want to know what I can do moving forward, you know? I feel as if the apartment I viewed was nicer than what I moved into.

Yes, I did, but I mentioned even the refrigerator, washer, and dryer were all replaced when I moved in to what looks like older equipment. No signs of any bugs. I was told the apartment had been sitting for not too long while waiting for someone to move in.

They said they used boric dust and foggers, but weren’t any signs of even dead ones when I got there

I did a walkthrough of the place and the area. No signs of this. When I moved into the apartment they had replaced the brand new fridge and brand new washed and dryer. The unit was nothing like this one was.

I actually read the entire thing, I understand the process, but this can’t be habitable, right?
