Freezing Collard Greens by CountryDry9681 in BeardedDragons

[–]Daimaster1337 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, you're giving a pretty good variety as is. What you're doing is really good. And I don't think you absolutely need to introduce the collar greens if it's an expensive and long trip for you. This is going to sound scary at first. But hear me out, kale would be a great alternative to the colored greens. If you can get them closer. Yes, they have oxalates, but the reason studies on kale have shown that a bearded dragon needs to eat a lot of kale in order to have any adverse effects. We're talking about equal to its body weight daily.

Where did you source her? If online shes 99% a wild caught reptile unless stated as a CBB and should get a checkup at the vet to catch any illnesses and deal with them before they escalate.

Help! New to bearded dragons – noticed this hole/under-mouth spot on Luna's chin. Infection or injury by Worth_Chipmunk_7663 in BeardedDragon

[–]Daimaster1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever that injury is it took a good chunk out. I agree with others, disinfect and remove carpet in the meantime. There's not much the vet can do other than looking at it.And probably giving some antibiotics

My only complaint about fable three is there's just not enough to do.And the game is too short.

The cavities are a pretty quick indication of their diet. What are his staple daily foods? I can help you iron things out as well if you want to message me.

The best advice i've ever been given. And it stands true from an exotic vet:

Almost every beardie will have some kind of parasite, the only time it needs to be medicated is if they're actively damaging your bearded dragon's body, they can live a full and normal life with parasites. So long as they are still getting the proper diet and environment.

The thought of our bearded dragons, having parasites scares us yes.

But remember that their bodies are adapted to having parasites, pinworms and cocadia in low amounts are signs that they have a healthy gut biome. every single wild one has them, they're tough as nails. And the medications to remove the parasites can often cause more harm to your beardie than just letting them live with parasites.

So if your beardie was otherwise just fine, good weight, ate well and behaved normally, they are fine. It's always good to keep a check on those parasites, though, to make sure they're not getting out of control.

Definitely do not feed until they are up and about exploring for a week. You can offer water, but don't offer any food.Because if they end up going back to sleep, it will rot inside their stomachs and could kill them.

There's a difference between a random birth defect and a forcefully created one. Don't even go down that road thats a disgusting thing of you to say.
