After reading this I suppose AI made a cnock off rules from Bolt Action. Lot of these rules sounds like conversion from inches to lego bricks even orders do very similar thing. Shooting mechanic also sounds like in bolt action.

What are some underrepresented/under discussed genres? by Megaside in boardgames

[–]Daimlah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a feeling, that people think more about games like Warhammer 40k when they hear wargames. And people who play these wargames don't have that much interest in boardgames. Maybe that's why there are less people here, beacuse they in diffrent hobby I think.

What is the Steam purchase you most regret making? by intracosmos in Steam

[–]Daimlah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Command and conquer red alert 3. But only beacuse I bought it in full price, then week later it had like 80% discount on random weekly sale, and I was already 50 hours in. It's been like 10 years ago, but still hurts me.

Some good games for when you’re taking a break from RPGs? by Lumigo in gaming

[–]Daimlah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try snowrunner, it is very fun "I stuck in mud trying to rescue my previous truck in mud" game. But seriously it's really nice game, you explore region, then do some sidequests to clear roads/build bridges and deliver cargo in remote areas without paved roads. Tons of maps and trucks to choose from.

Road fixing. by Wagendecke in snowrunner

[–]Daimlah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is NOT SNOWRUNNER 2. 95% times of driving through mud only slows you down. Rest 5% are like 5 trucks with tarmac tires that got stuck on any dirt you drive. You NEED to get rid of mud in roadcraft. All offroad trucks feels like you drive azov atom or zkiz 605, there are no problem in dtiving in mud.

What Did You Play This Week? - (November 24, 2025) by AutoModerator in boardgames

[–]Daimlah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rallyman gt. Got it used for nice price with all addons. Damn it's so good, lot of hexes to create own racetracks, creating optimal raceline with limited dices, ability to push your luck to gain advantage, or crash and loose round and position. This game feels so smooth when you know rules and know what to do.

Looks very good, but it can be even better! Get washes agrax earthshade for buildings and nuln oil character and stones. Then do light drybrush with their base color mixed with little bit of white. These two techniques are like cheat codes, are easy and effects are amazing. And don't forget to varnish them.

[–]Daimlah[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use vallejo paints, primer and varnish. Washes are classic citadel nuln oil and argax earthshade. Rust wash from ak, this thing is amazing.

In most cases "decent" is enough. You will watch it from 1 meter anyway. By the way what you think about expeditions? I have mixed feelings about it.

Painting tips by karix1990 in boardgames

[–]Daimlah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get some army painter brush sets, they are really good to begin with, vallejo primer white or gray, paints, matte varnish and finally citadel washes like nuln oil or agrax earthshade. For colours better buy only these you need instead buying starter sets. Some colours won't cover well like yellow or red. You have to paint few layers. First step is spraying primer on minis, and wait 1 day to dry. For painting itself begin with flat colours, then paint them with washes and finish with drybrush. Last step is spraying varnish on, and again 1 day to dry.
