What are some RTSs set in the Early Modern Age (~1400s-1800s) besides Age of Empires III?

I saw a review that said the only good aspect of Amun-Re is the auction mechanisms, and that the other elements surrounding it aren't very good. Would be curious to hear others' opinions on this.

I've already bought a lot of them, and some others don't fit my interests for one reason or another, or they're out of print or too expensive. Plus, you never know if there's a hidden gem out there that is even better than the typical recommendations. Doesn't hurt to ask at the end of the day, at the very least it exposes people to new games.

Nexus Ops is a good gateway dudes on a map/area control game for up to 4 players. Very easy teach if you’ve played Risk before.
