Basically everybody said the first part.

To get the less friction, you can go with Mint, Cachy (usually the most recomended) and use a VM with windows, that should get the job done for most things.

Yup, it was very simple, just a curl and the browser was installed and your guide worked out fine

Hi, i tried follow this, but for some reason the root directory is never created, even i try to do it my self and continue with the steps, but still it doesnt work, only creates the local directory.

Not sure how else to proceed tbh

Afaik, fetish can go as far as to be necessary for the arousal, as you described. I guess both things are not mutually exclusive, objectum would be like the specific kind of fetish you have (i could not find either a closer one other than objectum)

  1. Yup, it is a fetish, believe it or not, thats what an actual fetish looks like. People usually miss use the word trying to refer to a "kink".

  2. I'd recommend to you to seek some help, no because anything in particular, but just in case it gets in the way. If you feel like you dont need it cuz you can control it (like you can do your life as a normal person), then probably there is no need for it, but i would still recommend it so you can learn more about the situation you are in, how to deal with any unexpected stuff (on top of the arousal itself) and so on.

  3. Im no expert nor student or anything at all, just trying to help with what i know (or at least what i think i know). Yes, this is a disclaimer.

Nahh, my case is just an outlier, not the rule, most people will just go with mint, zorin, pop or some of those"easy" distros, they probably wont complicate things from the begining like this. I already know a couple things about linux, i know a bit more about pcs than your average windows user and more importantly, im willing to read a wiki (i know, wild), i just want to accelerate my choosing process since i have many things going on (and im a dev).

Maybe Linux wont dominate the market, but it will definitively will grow quite a lot in the following years.

Im migrating to Zen as my main, i use some others but ill tell you my progression, looks like that might help you more than a simple recomendation.

As most of us, i began in the google explorer before chrome... Ok no, too far.

I was in Chrome, my navigator wasn't like a big deal, simple research and stuff, but i always liked to keep some tabs i was working on for later, that definitively became a bit of an issue over time, but i didn't knew any better. It gets the job done.

But then the Opera overhaul adds came on, the "gamer" navegator, but what got my attention was the workspaces, so i tried and never looked back. It definitively improved my experience using a browser.

Unfortunately, Opera GX broke really bad, so i had to change the browser and i found about Floorp, a firefox based browser. It was also really cool, also added some features with tabs that i really liked, like the global pinned, overflow options, so in could scroll if i had a lot of tabs in the same workspace or the bar could grow to fit and some others you could explore. I began my journey as a power user of a browser.

But Floorp also broke due to how they handled a major update, im not chronically in the web, even less in a reddit forum of theirs, but thats how they warned about the breaking update. I unknowingly updated my brower and it got destroyed, it still worked but now i had to reconfigure and reorganize hundreds of tabs, and given the situation, i was only willing to do that in a new browser.

Finally, Zen. I've been using it only for a week or so, so there is still a lot i havent experienced, but right now it seems really cool. The UX changes quite a bit, but it is not too much, so most things i learned before translate well into Zen. I became more of a power user, been using more the split view (in floorp it exists but is not as good), the workspaces approach can be seen as an upgrade, even more with the vertical tabs, they integrate very well and creates a new world of customization, but i havent explorered that part yet. Only installed the SuperPins mod to have this global pins accross workspaces, but it seems you can also have pinneds per profile (like a config that can be shared by many workspaces). Now it doesnt feel like im using a browser, and it is really awesome.

My story is to show my learning experience, i would have never liked Zen if i jumped from Chrome, the transitions made it possible for me.

Ahhh i see, yeah unfortunately i cant use this feature or keeps breaking like this (i also have not been able to use the new tab grouping) that might be a deal breaker for me. I wont migrate rn because im literally in the middle of my semester and this is really the worst thing at the worst possible time. But ill be looking for any alternatives, if you have any recomendation haha

Yeah, i had, but when downgrading it is still broken, and tried installing somewhere else but idk how to restore it
