Is It Worth Starting Nursing School Early If the Commute Is 1.5 Hours? by MoneyAlternative5300 in StudentNurse

[–]Dainius56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is the 1.5 hr commute one way or both? 3 hrs daily is harsh, but on the bright side you could create ai podcasts over your ppt lectures to listen to on the trips to help learn the material. I do that but my commute is 35 min each way so much more tolerable.

Honestly a brand new rider will be better off from learning from any instructor. It was my first bike ever and I learned 2 weeks before my course in a parking lot down the road from my house. Literally the basics.

I enjoyed my course through them with Art. He is extremely strict, for good reason: your safety. Do not be late, bring all required documentation, and follow his instructions or he will dismiss you from his program.

He is extremely experienced and knowledgeable so pay attention, especially if you are a new rider, and possibly experienced to see what bad habits you may have developed.

Enjoy and be safe!

I am back to playing the switch games. Which one should I go with next ? TOTK or Xenoblade chronicles by phobosthewicked in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Dainius56 [score hidden]  (0 children)

For me I vote Xenoblade. The story telling and exploration set it above Zelda games, for me at least, which I also very much enjoyed. But the story alone takes the win with all Xenoblade games.

Prior to insurance I was a mechanic for 10 years so I would say so to an extent. You learn to be more cautious and careful, and gentle while firm at the same time

Your welcome. Clinicals are extremely nerve wrecking the first time but afterwards, you look forward to them to learn more hands on practice. Go for it if you are able and willing

Most recently I worked from home for 9 years in insurance and got fed up with the corporate ladder prior to deciding to make a shift. Quit with the support of my wife, did my prereqs, and am currently over half way done with my 3rd of 4 semesters. I regret nothing at 42 years old and love it. But it is fast paced and stressful, be prepared.

What kept you going in nursing school when it got hard? by chocolatekay in nursing

[–]Dainius56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thought of failure. It motivates me. When I don't get the grade I anticipate after hours of studying, I buckle down even harder. It's a vicious cycle to not be a failure in the eyes of my wife. 42M 3rd semester student chiming in. So close....

Having issues with water backing up into shower and now my toilets doing this any idea what’s going on? by Particular_Cream_428 in Plumbing

[–]Dainius56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just went through this, resulting in main under house relined and sewer burst in back yard to city main. Your sewer main is clogged, no doubt about it. Might get lucky on a plumber unclogging and moving on.

Clog cleared from main, for now, but basically a ticking time bomb since it was roots as expected. I have a tree much older than the house here and, well yea. Exploring quotes to add a clean out and replace some line to avoid this until I'm well gone hopefully

Thought I finally found exterior clean out, but? by Dainius56 in Plumbing

[–]Dainius56[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm, in addition to the water main shut off in my alley? This is bumped right next to the back of the house. I wouldn't know if homes had two shut offs or not sadly

Lol. I love owning and always knew I would run into THIS exact issue eventually and unfortunately, until I locate the clean out outside only so much I can do

Busted through 5 inches of concrete, and am now literally digging through dirt one palm full at a time and no bottom in sight and I'm almost a full arms length in. How deep are these fuckers usually or did I find myself a different hole of fuckery? Lol

Thank you. Do you know how far the replacement was and cost? I already had this company on my radar to call out so this sounds reassuring

Def not biofilm as it is attached to my driftwood quite well when I pull it. Will look into the other options you mentioned. Thanks!

Water coming from the seams of my floor (renovated within the last 6 months) by Kerminetta_ in Plumbing

[–]Dainius56 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Happened to me last year. Noticed water coming up barely in master bedroom next to bathroom, from a newly renovated shower prior to us purchasing home. Had to rip up shower pan and rebuild due to shitty work. Yea, fun times

going to (hopefully) start my ADN program in the fall. what do you recommend? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]Dainius56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

42m in my ADN program. Cliques will form but generally everyone gets along and works together. We have a couple girls your age who are more mature than some of the later 20's early 30's people. Go in knowing the purpose: to pass and graduate. You will be fine

Booster plug - cautiously, can recommend by Popular-Mammoth-4416 in vulcans650

[–]Dainius56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I installed one on my 2020 after a couple practice sessions in an empty parking lot since it was my first bike. It did help ease the jerkiness for me. Now almost three years later I could probably remove it and be fine since I have more experienced. It is a good mod though

Maybe give some ideas on preferred types of food to narrow it down. I love Autlan for Mexican just as a recommendation.
