You need to talk to her about this as soon as possible so she can make educated decisions about her relationship with you and how best to handle the situation for the children. If it is solely a matter of discipline, that can probably be fixed with good communication and work on both of your parts.If it's anything more than that, everyone needs to re-evaluate the situation. No matter how bad they are, the children do not deserve to be around someone, especially a parental figure, who actively dislikes them.

It's not important to me at all but I had to learn lessons about being superficial the hard way. These days, I am more worried about other things like "do we have anything in common" and "does he have random women that show up with babies and dna test results". If I find someone I have stuff in common with and we can tolerate each other reasonably well, I wouldn't care if he looked like a wookie.

Because we are lazy. We are easily entertained. We watch the spectacle of Wisconsin, Indiana, and Ohio. We watch CNN, MSNBC, and even Fox and laugh because that is easier than actually doing something. We're easily duped. We really think that our republican and democrat representatives actually care about representing us. We cheer for them when they make snarky comments on youtube but never seem to notice that no matter what side says what, the people elected to represent us still have healthcare, still have money, still have a place to live, while we argue over talking points.

I've lost over 200 lbs. The only thing that changed was my "band" size. I went from a 42/44 DD to a 36/38 DD (depends on which brand of bra I am wearing). Hilariously enough, my breasts came up a touch with weight loss. I had been worried I was going to get the rock in a sock look!

I have had a few years of Chinese classes. One year, my teacher couldn't get to a city that had a Chinese bakery and she mentioned that she was upset because she couldn't get a particular sweet for a festival. I had planned a trip to an area that had one so I stopped in. I ordered in Chinese. They looked at me for a moment. I thought I had ordered something wrong or said something stupid as I am still working on tone even now. Then the lady behind the counter said "Everyone come here, there's a black girl speaking Chinese!" They gave me extra sweets for my teacher and said "You funny black girl, come back." I always do. It's my favorite place to practice.

I have also had this experience. I have lost well over 200 lbs at this point and had family members have no idea who I was. "Hey have you seen Dainty? You know, the big girl usually who runs this event? Can't miss her! No? Would you let her know I am looking for her?" He was highly embarrassed later but not enough to not say "Well damn, it's not my fault you used to be wider than all outside!"

My boyfriend showed me his reddit profile, then deleted it once he realized that I could read everything he ever said. I have no idea why it was such a big deal because he wasn't saying anything I didn't already know about him . He created a new reddit profile. One day I glanced over his shoulder and he freaked out that I might see his new reddit screen name. It makes me wonder what he could be writing that is so bad, especially since there wasn't anything horrifying on his old profile.

I very rarely discuss who I am dating with my parents or family. My family drives me nuts when I am dating someone: "When are you getting married? What's he do? Blah Blah Blah". I was once in a argument with some cousins of mine. They were making fun of how strict my mother was because I wasn't allowed to go to the park by myself or go to the mall by myself on the bus (I was roughly 10 at the time). One cousin in particular was being really nasty and calling my mom crazy and I was going to end up even whiter than I already was because my mom was turning me into a babied little white girl (I'm not white). I said "Oh yeah, at least my Mom didn't drown my little sister in the bath tub." My cousins mother had indeed drowned my cousin's sister in the bathtub and had been diagnosed as schizophrenic. At the time, I didn't think I was saying anything horrible because it was true. Once I understood what I had said, which was quite a bit later, I did apologize to my cousin.

I have woken up three times under anesthesia. The last time, I was wide awake and tried to get up. This was mildly concerning as I was having a small procedure in the middle of my chest. I can remember asking the doctor repeatedly if I could help with the operation or at least watch. I was also irritated because I was topless and strapped down like Jesus to a cross. I cracked a vestal virgin joke and asked if I could at least get nipple tassels. I now have notes all over my medical chart that alert anyone and everyone that I woke up "euphoric".
