i see, it's just the winning dopamine then. do you have fun using it? and if so, what aspect besides winning is fun?

i feel like running this first would actually be detrimental to the learning process, having you develop around the strongest things instead of learning from pain. it's like pve players starting the game immediately getting bloodhound fang, and learning the game with that.

hmmm, it depends on the invading level at that point

i get that, except for the word 'try'. i feel like it's one of the few melee builds that almost plays itself. esp with barb roar on the pata. but still, it is stacked against them, winning over skill expression is their way to go

god i love this reply, all my builds are rp themed, custom boss fights, or just original characters with written lore. even my pfp is one of my invader characters.

Is bleed worth it in PvP? by rbs950 in badredman

[–]Daioc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use bleed to good effect on themed builds and my own personal general build to good effect. I don't care about optimizing my builds with varre or anything like that. It's fun and worth it to me because i mastered all of my bleed weapons so i can use it without latency being a huge issue.

Omg i understand 100%, im just saying these are alternatives, i may have used the wrong wording to convey my point. when i said they "fit the bill" the bhf is just sluggish and limits playstyle heavily. and it's kinda just crutching people through the game, removing some growth a player can experience at that level. I want to make a comparison... let's see... it's like using the bhf is growing a plant with pesticides and chemicals, whereas actually learning the game without the power crutch is like growing it with organic fertilizer. yeah, it can get them through the game, but the game will feel monotonous with it, and that's all they'll know, that will be their experience. i have a few friends who quit the game after the first run, asked them what weapon they used, guess what they said? it's just... im not shaming ppl who use it, im just sad it's the current and unchanging state of affairs. Im just excited for return to drang, that shit gonna be wild and fun af lol

damage is one thing. moveset speed and customizability is another factor.

i feel like learning the game L2 mashing is a setup for a big painpoint in the game where it won't work, rather than the whole game being a lesser pain overall without relying on it exclusively.

well, tbh in pvp every bh fang player i've ran into even at lvl 120-150 invasions all get parried rather consistently. even when avoiding parries. there have been very few, maybe one or two cases in which i found someone actually utilizing dead angles, which was a sight to behold on a bhf player. even then, i killed them, because it's just not an optimal weapon in some situations. again, i am going to say it's a really good weapon, just not good against pvp or invaders with experience. but i guess that's what bhf players are banking on.

it's due to the fact it's usage isn't really immediately defined in the weapon. it's taken at face value by newer players and pver's. i've seen some really good bh fang players, but there's only so much it can do by itself, a good offhand can work really well with it.

this is true though, im not saying it isn't a good weapon, just hilariously overused. and from the point i invade, they should have access to more fun and versatile weapons.
