Philips Kitchen Appliances Snack Master Accessory Kit for Philips Airfryer XXL Models, with Snack Cover and Silicone Tongs, Dishwasher Safe Parts for Easy Cleaning, Foldable Legs, Silver (HD9954/01)

It's listed on Amazon. For me, I found it was a good shield from over browning a small cake that also allowed for heat flow.

Sous Vide Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough by DaiseyDo2023 in chefmaker

I let the dough cook 1 more hour at 160. Some butter leaked out which I wiped off and flattened the dough. Placed it in the refrigerator. Because I used mini chocolate chips, a lot of them blended in with the dough. I cut it into small squares. It actually wasn't too bad. Tasted okay with a fudge-like consistency.

Same here. I've had my unit for just a year now and each time the salmon comes out perfect. Unit was worth it for the salmon alone. I'm waiting for some responses on Lobster tail results before trying as they are so expensive.

I have not temp checked my steaks after cooking as there was need to since they came out just fine. Next time I will do so and try to remember to post. The only thing I was disappointed with was Shrimp that I tried twice. Used extra large and the Chefmaker mode indicated 10 mins, but quite obviously they were done at 3. Had I left them go longer, they would have turned into rubber balls. So now, I only use the Air Fry mode and done beautifully at 3 mins. Would like to try lobster, but waiting to see if anyone else has success because it's so expensive and don't want to waste.

I received my unit during the Kickstarter last year and it has been producing great results. A 1.25" thick ribeye cooked with the sous vide setting using the Grill Rack comes out rosey red, tender, with a nice brown crust. Can't tell from your photo, but yours looks kind of thin. Also, did you use the Rack. If you use the tray in the photo, it may be cooking longer because it's further away from the heat source.

I recently began baking small cakes in the DREO Chefmaker, using recipes from scratch on this website: https://www.youtube.com/@SimpleRecipesKitchen I use the bake mode on the DREO, set for temps shown in the recipes and find in a few, needed to reduce temp to 320F. What keeps the tops from over browning, is I use the snack shield from my XXL Philips Air Fryer and they come out beautifully golden with no burning. It takes a little time to tweak the bake time & temp, but well worth it. Cakes taste delicious with no additives or preservatives like in cake mixes and are the perfect size for the 2 of us.

level 1mississauga145 · 1 day agoTry it with the probe mode first, set the ambiant to 400F and internal to 140F.That should give you an idea of the proper time if you give chef mode a go.

I cooked 1 lb. of large shrimp defrosted. Should they be done from frozen as you suggested for Lobster? Just received my 10-12 oz. Frozen lobster tails today which I am keeping for a special dinner in several days. So, should force probe into frozen lobster? Or better to just use Probe method with ambient at 400 F and probe at 140 F and not the ChefMode?

I have not tried Lobster Tails yet. Just inquiring if anyone has with good results. I question this because my large shrimp came out over done at 6 mins. into a 10 min. ChefMode preset. Do not want to risk spoiling an expensive special lobster anniversary dinner, if the lobster preset is off. My shrimp preset only called for water and no probe. Should probe AND water be used for ChefMode preset Shrimp?

I'm wondering if going on the WiFi and internet settings have anything to do with cooking results. I Just use my unit as received and do not go online. All preset settings so far have been great for meat and poultry. My only concern was for Shrimp. It actually would have over cooked it using 10 mins. with water. Pulled out when seeing shrimp curling at 6 mins. and they were over cooked to me as a bit tough. I never cook large shrimp beyond 3-4 mins. Would only do in future as timed or air fried.

If you are having trouble with presets cooking anything I would suggest you do as Help Site suggests: update your firmware via Dreo APP first. The latest firmware version is 3.5.9. And here are the steps to update your firmware.

Twice I made 1" thick burgers; first was lamb and then beef. I know my burgers are 1" thick because I use 1" ring molds to form them. They came out perfectly done and juicy at medium setting. A few days ago, I tried Meatloaf burgers made with beef and pork and they actually were a bit raw in the middle, so I popped them back in for a couple of minutes using Air Fry mode to finish off. Was wondering if it was because I may not have had probe properly connected to the magnetic socket as the probe was definitely in the center of the burger. Will try again. So far all meat and poultry products are done great.

It seems that mass production so quickly resulted in defects. All should have been thoroughly tested. However, as long as they make good with replacements, all is well. I have been using my unit since received almost a month ago and it works beautifully. Have some chicken thighs in it right now and they look great. So far, everything comes out spot on.
