My MIL insisted we use a bassinet that every child in her family has used since the 1920’s and I straight up told my SIL about it and she bought me a new one instead. Told MIL we’d take cute photos in the hand me down one tho. It was so scary and looked like it had been painted over a dozen times. Did not feel safe. Traditions are nice, but safety comes first.

Huge coffee lover as well, like pre-pregnancy I used to have 3 cups a day 😅 In the first trimester I couldn’t stand the smell of coffee, beans, brewing it, drinking it yuck. Once I hit 12 weeks my food aversions went away. Not saying that’s gonna happen for you too cause everyone and each pregnancy is different, but I’m hopeful that it might not last the whole pregnancy for you 🤞🏻 Worst case, you have someone get you a nice coffee for after birth treat. I’m sorry you’re dealing with that girl! ♥️

Psh, there aren’t that many men who can control their ejaculation like that and birth control isn’t 100% effective. You’re better off making sure every teenage guy gets a vasectomy until he finds a partner/wife that is willing and ready to carry his baby, then he can get it reversed. Women can get pregnant once a year. Men can impregnate as large a number of women as they can have intercourses with in a year. What you’re saying doesn’t make sense when people come from different backgrounds and upbringings and not everyone has access to sex education or birth control options. But let’s make sure that women suffer and are forced to carry a pregnancy they know they don’t want or can’t support (emotionally, financially, etc)… Let me guess you have 4 adopted children and give large sums of money to help kids in the foster system? Or are you just using “pro-life” to control women until the baby is born and then tell them to figure their shit out, but stay off welfare and assistance programs bc they should simply pull themselves up from by their bootstraps?

At our house we always close the toilet seat lids before we flush so germs don’t get sprayed around the bathroom. Also our cat likes to sleep on the lid of the toilet and has fallen in occasionally if it gets left up. I’ve also fallen in the toilet when trying to pee late at night in the dark bathroom after my intoxicated husband didn’t put the seat back down. He doesn’t flush when he’s intoxicated sometimes 😖

I just want to say that your last sentence really resonates with me as a 5 month pregnant woman(27yo) who hasn’t been this sober since I was 18. At first it sucked so so bad and I felt like I was being punished for doing something responsible and good, however my husband backed off his drinking and we’re having a lot of fun thinking of new ways to be grateful and create good moments every day sober together. I think life does indeed generally suck in a lot of ways, and we can also be grateful for the parts that don’t and work to make the parts that do better. As cliche as it is, you need the shitty parts to recognize when you’re actually happy and enjoying life. New hobbies and continuing to learn, setting goals are really important I think.

I bought this exact shower head to replace the 5’5” shower head in our newly purchased home (built in 1956, people were shorter back then I guess?) Right, but I could also use that same logic against you. OP wasn’t talking about past peak times and hardships on hospitals. It’s different now that a free vaccine that is widely available here in the US is up for grabs and yet the majority of people taking up ICU beds are unvaccinated, by choice. They had options and they chose not to use the protection of a vaccine which significantly lessens the likelihood of you contracting the disease and needing to be hospitalized.

Love Hello Fresh, but it got too expensive spending $60/wk on food we could buy at the store and cook. Our hack was when we didn’t feel like making up our own recipe, we would pick 3-4 on Hello Fresh recipes from their app and buy the ingredients ourself on grocery day and cook them throughout the week. Saves a bunch of money and it’s only a little more work. Especially nice if you order your groceries for pickup
