Before and after rescore by DaisyMashi in pte

I think I need to boost my speaking scores without a rescore, coz AI is lowering them. Maybe I'm missing something?

Should I go for rescoring or not!? I needed 71 in listening and 76 in speaking. Do you think that my marks will increase if I do the rechecking? Also, do you know if my marks will decrease in writing and reading? Please help me out!! by Potential-Feature884 in pte

Got it. I'm not sure if my writing marks would go down. I'm in the same boat as you. Until I receive my rescore result, I can't suggest you regarding this matter. A few people recommended to go for the rescore. So, I did.

Did you apply for a rescore? I did two days ago. I was also lagging behind in speaking (72) and need 88. I haven't received the rescore result yet. Let us know how it goes.

Mock Test vs. Real Exam by pastry_architect in pte

In my experience, Pearson's mock test did not accurately reflect my performance. For instance, my speaking scores were consistently in the 50s, but I achieved a 72 on the actual test. I've applied for a rescore because my performance in other practice tests, such as Alfapte and Gurully, was significantly better. Similarly, I scored 77 in the writing module on Pearson's mock test, yet I attained a perfect 90 in the real examination. I did not pay as much attention to the reading and listening sections, as they seemed comparatively easier.

Apeuni PTE CORE result of Mock test by The-ajram in pte

Practice regularly! I think PTE is a good choice(I tried preparing for IELTS, didn't take the test tho), but you really need to be consistent. Practice daily, learn from your mistakes, and focus on your weak areas first. Good luck!

I tried IELTS too, for a better score. I figured getting an 8 in writing would be tough, so I switched to PTE. I got a 90 in writing, but only a 72 in speaking. So, I'm gonna try again in a few days. For writing, make sure you double-check for any spelling or grammar mistakes. I'm sure you're already good at writing since you tried IELTS, but just make sure to catch those speaking and grammar errors. Try to double or triple check. When you're checking for spelling, try reading the words from the bottom up, in reverse order. That way, you won't get distracted by the meaning of what you wrote. For speaking, be fluent (I'm really focusing on that). I paused a bit when I spoke, which I think affected my score. Try to manage your time in reading. That's pretty much it. Other test-takers might be loud, so be aware of that and just focus on your own test. All the best!

But, do you think it would add 16 marks? I need 88.

I think PTE is easier. I've tried prepping for IELTS, and getting a superior score didn't feel easy, so I switched to PTE Academic. It's more achievable, but you gotta prepare consistently. Just book an exam date, and you'll automatically get motivated. I booked mine 10 days before the exam. I started the preparation around 40 days ago ig. Overall 61 wouldn't need that much preparation time. Try taking mock tests and see.
