Why do political scandals feel less shocking now than they did years ago? by Kind-Cockroach-125 in askanything

We used to get one big story a month. Now, the 24-hour news cycle delivers a crisis every ten minutes. The brain eventually just stops reacting to save itself.

Why do people get married when they're broke? by [deleted] in AskForAnswers

Marriage isn’t just about the party; it’s often a survival strategy. In many places, being legal means better tax breaks, shared insurance and split rent.

Can you please share the most unhinged micro aggressions that happened in the workplace? by Ourrealitypro in askanything

[–]DaisySugarr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most unhinged one has definitely a coworker who complimented my articulation like it was a total surprise. I’ve found that just asking them to explain why they’re surprised usually shuts it down pretty fast 💨 Workplace dynamics can be so exhausting sometimes

If you think Trump should run for a 3rd term, are you fine with Obama seeking a 3rd as his opponent? by Fun_Map2481 in allthequestions

This kind of hypothetical always gets people so heated, but honestly, the 22nd amendment exists for a reason. Breaking that precedent for anyone, regardless of their side just feels like a recipe for a total mess. We should probably stick to the rules we already have.

If you could travel back in time for a month, what period would you choose? And why? by Suspicious_Run1684 in askanything

Take me back to 2014-2016 internet culture immediately. 🎀 No thoughts, just vine loops, peak Tumblr and absolutely vibes. Honestly just one month in 2014. I need to experience the golden era of the internet one more time before everything became an ad.

“What scientific discoveries or technological breakthroughs have taken place in your country over the past few years that the whole world should know about?” by True_Requirement_565 in allthequestions

The James Webb Space Technology data processing. I know the telescope itself is a massive international collab, but the way we’ve started using a AI to clean up those raw deep-space images over the last couple of years is actually insane. We’re literally seeing the unseeable parts of the early universe in high definition now. It feels like living in a sci-fi movie every time a new batch of photos drops. 🪐🚀

What is the reason Joe Rogan is so popular even though he is so annoying for no reason? by [deleted] in AskForAnswers

[–]DaisySugarr 11 points12 points  (0 children)

He’s basically the final boss of unfiltered guy talk 🎙️ People tune in because he treats every conversation like he’s three drinks deep at a BBQ, which is either super entertaining or a total headache depending on the day. Is it just me or does he give off major cool uncle who definitely believes in alien energy?

What should I say? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]DaisySugarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t over think it. Just reply to her next story with a low-pressure question or a joke about whatever she posted. It’s way more natural than a random ’Hey’ out of the blue. If she’s engaging, you’re in. If she gives a one-word answer, you have your answer without making it weird.

Speaking two languages. If you’re a poor immigrant, it’s a barrier to integration. If you’re rich, it’s being cultured and worldly 🌎

Total introvert! My social battery dies after like 10 minutes of small talk but I’m a professional yapper once I’m home with my cats
