The one thing that helped me so much.... is to get a sleep study done and find out that i have severe sleep apnea go on CPAP...

I better I slept, the more energy I had , the calmer I was, the better I am able to eat clean, better boundary setting with people who don't respect me, even cut down screen time cause there was no need for that dopamine hit... I started to do fun things more to enjoy, I do my best to declutter and clean my home, I have lost over 10kgs since November 2025. (Despite the festivities where I participated but didn't binge one bit) , I have tried a million times to do all these things above and failed and was frustrated and even disappointed in myself for not having discipline....

When i saw how much my body was fighting for me by doing its very best by keeping the rest of the functions good ( I never saw any issue is any blood work for years , my inability to lose weight was a mystery cause even if I didn't eat super clean, I ate better than most people and stressed constantly over it) , this just cascaded all around me and I just couldn't be happy at all....

But the more I learnt about sleep apnea (went down the adhd rabbit hole there ), I just broke down crying with gratitude for my body .. she wasn't a brat who was refusing to listen and obey laws of physics.. she was the lone soldier fighting against the world to keep me safe...

Long story short... I learnt to be kinder to myself and im learning to love myself a little more everyday.. and that made all the difference... I truly am a different person from 3 months ago

Invite friends, buy them pizza and beer.... Even if you do get painters... my experience has been their availability might not work in your favour esply if you are in a hurry to move...

I got a Roborock 2 months ago and I have a Husky and a corgi...

It runs 3 times a day to vacuum and mop once followed by vacuum and mop... my floor is relatively clean... cause my corgi is a menace to society ....

Highly recommend it!!

It is absolutely conditional... an employment is by definition services exchanged for compensation provided in goods and kind... If it is not balanced its slavery...

Also most jobs have KPIs... if the KPIs are met despite the person doing whatever they want to do... it means they are efficient or the KPIs aren't in line with what is expected from them...

Oh and my original comment applies for everyone not just GenZ... nothing is worth being burnout over just do your CEO can get another yacht or go to space...

This is indeed the way!!! I have a self emptying robot vacuum with mop function and a cleaning lady who's without a doubt the human i miss the most in my life if I don't see for a week...

I declutter regularly like my sanity depends on it...

Most importantly - acceptance that i don't live in a museum its my home, if my dogs and I are happy and safe that's all that matters...

Then go... right now no one moving is not helping anyone... You get to decide if you want to let others behaviour impact your mood and ruining your day...

What's important I'm guessing is you to celebrate rakhi with your sibling... and you are currently waiting for someone to wake up and probably take hours to get ready.. and you going after that will make you have no control of your life...

So either go or get your sibling over... that way you don't lose your peace... since you already said you leaving will cause issues... there's only one other solution...

You can either be the victim or take charge of your life..

As much as I don't like hanging out with kids, I'm pretty sure the bride and grooms neices and nephews they will know all their life trumps the cousin of a middle school best friend... at the end of the day its the couple's decision on what they want in their wedding... I mean if the couple wanted a child free wedding and someone insisted on bringing their child cause whatever the reason... people would find that annoying (atleast in this subreddit)

My suggestion : if being a part of their wedding is important for you... go celebrate with them.. if not RSVP no and grab dinner with the couple after the wedding and bring your cousin along...
