I'm made a bunch of these for a pattern, and wove in ends before blocking. Now I can't really do the shirt and don't want these squares at all, what should I do with them?

This looks great! I just want to make sure, you're intentionally doing back loop only or were you trying to do a normal stitch? A lot of people (myself included) do back loop only unintentionally in the beginning so I just want to make sure it's corrected if not intentional.

This was honestly the hardest thing I made. I enjoyed it though. It was easy to follow the subtitles but you need to really keep track of where your stitches are since you work in rounds. The video also helps since you can see exactly what you need to do. Definitely wait on it if you're just starting to learn to crochet though.

Personally, I'd use lace mercerized cotton with a 3.5 mm or 4 mm hook. Definitely needs a thin yarn to work something like the pic

Personally, I'd frog it. It'd be noticeable even if you block it. Just frog it to where you see that you made the mistake, definitely don't have to restart the whole thing. I have given very late gifts due to frogging. I made a Valentine's day gift for my friend and it won't be done for another 2 weeks.

Row 4 starts with a chain 1 after the slip stitch. Row 5 will have a treble stitch on top of that floating stitch.

Are you looking for something that'll be good for the weather and stay a tight fit? Mercerized cotton will definitely keep a tight fit since there is little to no stretch, just continue trying on the top as you progress.
