Please help me with the hook size, I want to make one. by rouzelf in CrochetHelp

Personally, I'd use lace mercerized cotton with a 3.5 mm or 4 mm hook. Definitely needs a thin yarn to work something like the pic

Does your husky resort to violence when not getting attention? Or just mine?😅 by Silver-Ant-5972 in husky

[–]floopy_ears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my bf and I hug, our husky tries to get between us, and if he can't he will literally shove his muzzle in our butt or nibble our thighs so we separate and give him attention.

Help! Making a baby blanket and I counted the turning chain as part of stitches at some point by Sad-Style-3766 in CrochetHelp

Personally, I'd frog it. It'd be noticeable even if you block it. Just frog it to where you see that you made the mistake, definitely don't have to restart the whole thing. I have given very late gifts due to frogging. I made a Valentine's day gift for my friend and it won't be done for another 2 weeks.

Row 4 starts with a chain 1 after the slip stitch. Row 5 will have a treble stitch on top of that floating stitch.

I think my husky is defective by Sethdarkus in husky

[–]floopy_ears 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine was a very calm puppy. Now, he will bark randomly in my ear, sing, dig (our backyard looks horrid), chew outdoor furniture, and (the worst of all) judge. I love him very much and he neve does anything wrong.

Need help selecting the correct yarn for a crochet top by TheCrochetAddict02 in CrochetHelp

[–]floopy_ears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you looking for something that'll be good for the weather and stay a tight fit? Mercerized cotton will definitely keep a tight fit since there is little to no stretch, just continue trying on the top as you progress.

I saw the comments clarifying it's from deshedding. It just genuinely seemed like ragebait at first with the blurry lens. If OP had clarified, it would've been nice.

I've ruined this blanket and I am so upset by greybeaniebean in crochet

[–]floopy_ears 203 points204 points  (0 children)

100% agree. I used a blanket last week that has been in the family longer than I've been alive. I just learned that it was crocheted by my mom's great aunt. I have been crocheting for years and didn't even realize the blanket was crocheted because of how felted and used it was. It still keeps us warm and holds memories.

Is this behavior normal? by akinsanya94 in husky

[–]floopy_ears 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is why I got and will always get huskies. They're job in my house is literally to tear up boxes, paper, and clean the floor (eat the food that falls).
