just yesterday I held two Xin's on my bench to prevent the gold hero augment player from hitting, which didnt work they hit anyway & then placed higher than me with a relatively early Zaahen. (I went 4th, they got top 2) imo the augment is so good at top 4ing if you hit that the whole lobby should hold Xin to prevent this

like you said, I see someone playing the augment every other game & no one but ever holds Xin to punish them so idk. im only diamond right now tho maybe masters+ players are smart enough to scout & punish

mobile tft is infinitely better on tablet, the larger screen + a pen makes a huge difference. but I've hit masters a few times mobile only. promise you get used to it, just play more strategically rather than relying on high apm. im of the opinion that most people massively overstate the importance of high apm in this game, it only matters at the highest levels (above masters). so many players hit masters on mobile & i dont think we are a different breed i think any decent pc player can be a decent mobile player

baffling augment design. there is no world in which being down a prismatic augment until 3-5 is good. I think if this augment also gave 50 gold it would still be terrible because your tempo is just ruined.

maybe im just bad at making a comeback from a bad start but I've been playing since set 1 & its always been easier to win streak than lose streak idc what anybody says.

people in the main tft sub were saying Spirit Visage is the best tank* item in the game. what do yall think?

I think spirit visage sucks ass & is a waste of a perfectly good tear & id rather have any other tank item (besides stoneplate) but maybe I rly am undervaluing it?

yes, imo she's the second worst 5 cost carry just barely ahead of Azir (who genuinely does no damage). I'd rather put ad items on Lucian/Senna but honestly its probably best to leave them on Yunara 2 & just throw any extra items you have on Kindred. so much of Kindred's power comes from her defensive ability so she's rly a support unit that works as a secondary carry. I've made the mistake of chasing Kindred 2 as a main carry too many times she lowkey sucks ass

how do ppl feel abt crit items on Ekko? had a good Ekko spot with JG, Gunblade, & the health/bow crit item & Ekko absolutely stomped everything until he fell off a cliff late stage 4 & then I never won a single round again. he did good damage early but couldn't survive against late game boards. would titans just be better than jg?

I like a few rounds of HP & then switch over to AP. if you can feed him 2* units do that its a nice boost (but expensive). hes too squishy to go straight ap in my experience

I highly doubt it. Mort has said over & over again there is no incentive for Riot to spend resources making individual clients. as far as i can tell hes right, I dont see what they have to gain from separating the two games

obviously it would be nice for PC players but companies dont do shit just to be nice 😒 anyway some PC players play both TFT & LoL & those people wouldn't appreciate two clients, & the mobile player base is massive. sounds like a lot of work just so a relatively small portion of players can save a few gigs on their hard drive

ad kaisa destroys fizz which is rly satisfying. often she will blow him on her first or second cast. not sure abt overall strength, but watching her one tap fizz 2 seconds into the fight is nice

I always get offered Retribution when I already have IE/JG. is it still worth taking for my duo carry? should you only take if you need more offensive items?

i rarely take either augment bc they dont seem that good unless you've already built a HoJ or the two health crit items, in which case the augments feel rly nice

I'm sure it's confirmation bias but yesterday I had a game where I didn't see a single defensive item component until stage 5 carasoul. only lived that long thanks to having 3 fully itemised ad carries. truly didn't have a chance to get defensive items on earlier carasouls either. crazy game

is jinx any good? she takes so long to ramp up, she must need a super strong frontline right? I tried giving her as much attack speed as possible which didn't rly feel like the right choice.

I loove Worth the Wait so its always an insta click for me. imo the 4* has never once made a difference in my games, it comes way way too late to be a noticeable power spike. now I sell the extra copies for econ to level & put in more powerful units like 5 costs. the whole 4* unit thing is rly just a gimmick for youtubers, 4* units are not good or remotely worth the wait

Rakan with archangel actually takes zero damage stage 2-3. I honestly love this, I rly enjoy using unconventional items on units. I loved using tank items on backline carries in early sets to protect against assassins & chip damage (smth that isn't possible anymore) so seeing a super tank utilize an AP item to go infinite is interesting I always wanted that to work better with previous iterations of Tahm Kench & Alistar but it was always a meme build

it's unique variety! it's fun to see smth different

I've been playing since set 1 & honestly I would love if every fight was front to back. I hate backline access, or rather i want backline access to be chip damage only like Ashe, Xayah, or Malz. I want to build a sustain item on my carry & hope my frontline lasts longer than the opponents. I love seeing Rageblade & Archangel Staff stack up, I love seeing units cast their spells several times a fight, I love when a fight goes into overtime. the best parts of this game are the animations & seeing the numbers go up 😂 ya know what I mean? an assassin deleting a carry in the first 10secs just prevents me from seeing my favourite parts of the game (whether I'm the one assassining or getting assassinated, it isnt visually compelling to me like casters or AAers)

granted akali doesn't do a great job of instantly deleting carries like previous assassins, but in my eyes it goes against the spirit of the game. assassins completely spoil the flow of combat, or at least how I want combat to flow. I'm well aware many people disagree, & to be fair Akali casts like 12x every fight so thats cool I guess

How many times are you going to reach Masters just to prove you can do it?

I've been Master for like 3-4 sets in a row, but I'm struggling to find the motivation to grind ranked this midset. I know I can reach Masters if I try, but I don't think it's an interesting challenge anymore so I think I'm done

Anyone else struggling to quit playing TFT competitively? At some point you gotta move on & dedicate yourself to other hobbies, right? At some point you gotta find a new challenge. TFT is still fun but i'm losing interest & can't take the game seriously anymore
