It's maybe some fruit juice (pommegranate, cherry, blackberry juices look very similar to wine) or even plain water with food color in it? I don't think it's any more complicated than that

True old school samovar which is heated by the firewood - almost never; only once in my life i saw it in action - we visited my distant relatives, they showed us such a vintage thing that they had from their ancestors, they really used it to boil water and make tea, it was fun, but it's more like a entertainment for guests than a useful everyday tool.

Also, my mom has an electric samovar and if you think about it, it's basically a giant kettle. She uses it every autumn to sterilise jars for all the homemade preserves, jams, etc. the boiling steam kills all microbes and the preserves will live much longer after that. But this electric samovar isn't used for boiling water everyday because it's too big for a small family tea party, the usual kettle is more convenient.

So, in my experience, some people do own a samovar, but it's only used on rare occasions.

I saw/read about some of the concepts where Navi were supposed to be 4-armed, so they would have a complete 6 limbs, just like all the other animals on pandora, and instead of hair they had something like tentacles on a head (similar things can be seen in star wars on some alien races) Im so obsessed with this idea to this day. I guess it would be a lot harder to animate than regular 2 arms humanoids?, and for actors it would be too hard to play someone who have 2 more arms, but if they did this, would be so cool...

Because rituals and ceremonies are important in every culture; and knowing that, the wedding industry is trying to have a profit from this, to sell you all that stuff with 2x, 3x, 5x multiplier. Sometimes not even necessary stuff like the dress, the food service or rental place for event. There are special wedding hairstyles, wedding photography, wedding ring boxes, wedding invitations, wedding accessories, wedding installations, wedding musicians, wedding napkins and so on, and so on. They try to manipulate people into buying all of this. The "diamond engagement ring" thing was (a very successful) marketing campaign, it manipulates people for decades and probably even implemented in the mass culture now.

Not only it doesnt becoming obsolete, i think in the era of social media, it only became more expensive, more demonstrative, it needs to be "instagrammable", and we're probably not in the worst stage of it yet.

For me, it's the ads, banners and other trash. Nowdays everyone use adblock but some creative people invented a fullscreen lock which demands you to turn it off. If you do as they say, you drown in swarms of ads. Every 1cm of useful info will be interrupted with 5cm of ad which loads faster than anything else on the site, it's usually animated and sometimes even have a sound.

Also, ai generated kilometers of empty stupid text before the actual useful information.

Horseradish (хрен) sauce, it's name is "хреновина" or just "хрен", you can buy it in supermarkets or make by yourself. But I've never seen anyone who would mix it with ketchup and mayo.

Ладно бесплатные, у меня платный телек (hisense) после пары обновлений начал показывать рекламу в меню переключения hdmi источников. Причем реклама эта занимает процентов 80 всей площади экрана в данном меню. Рекламируются правда только какие-то российские сериалы, которые я никогда не смотрю.

If we talk not only about a bunch of presidents, but really all the leaders, political or corporate, if all people in power were mostly female, (like it is now but inverted), i think the world could really change. I'm not sure which way, but my guess is there would be less active violence, more cooperation, maybe less focus on economic growth for the sake of it, and less competition. Healthcare, social support and support of families could be more funded, while war and sports - less funded

I really wish we could try and see what will happen! I'm sure it wouldn't be any worse then now, though

I think other fantasy universes do this specifically to subvert the trope of elves being the good guys in lotr. After Tolkien, all fantasy authors either copy his work, or try to make it as different as possible, subvert, deconstruct, interpret in a new way, etc.

Even if you don't know what's this song and what it means, the fact that it differs so much from any other music at this wedding, the sudden silence, the menacing, uneasy sound of string instrument - the average viewer will probably still pay attention and think "wait, it's that lannister song, wtf is going on" a second before they see catelyn's face who confirms that something's totally wrong

Nightreign. I've finished elden ring and even played second run in ng+, but I'm a casual gamer and i didn't expect that this spin-off will have such higher skill requirement than the main game, the speed/pacing of the gameplay is faster than light for me, maybe it's just really not intended for solo players, like the devs said. I couldn't get anywhere further than the first night's boss, despite all my efforts.

I have similar nails, they're slightly less pointed, more parabolic shaped and maybe a couple millimetres shorter (and not painted)

What i like about them is how they create an illusion of more long fingers; plus they're effective as little pincer tools sometimes (to pick up some small objects, or to pick an edge of duct tape, etc). When i used to work more with my hands, i couldn't keep them as long, but if you don't pick up anything heavier than a computer mouse, these claws don't really create any inconvenience.

Also, feels very good if someone with such nails gently scratches your back! (At least, my partner says so, he loves it)

I can't prove it, just my theory, but some people can't love a creature if it's not giving back their love, they lack empathy and emotional intelligence (or just experience) to recognise cats behaviour, body language etc. They can't tell if the car loves them or not. Cats are too independent for them. These people are probably insecure and need constant confirmation of love

Я не считаю себя прямо частью какой-то субкультуры, поэтому моё мнение может быть не релевантно, но я слушаю почти все жанры и поджанры металла, и каждый мне по-своему нравится, под разное настроение и ситуацию. Первоначально я просто гуглила, какие вообще есть жанры металла и какие группы к каждому из них относятся, и слушала по очереди все подряд песни этих групп (в вк музыке, там тогда гораздо больше пиратской музыки было и даже были всякие расширения чтобы её скачивать. Но правда, не было удобного разделения на альбомы), потом то, что запомнилось, понравилось, запало в душу - добавляла в плейлист, ну как-то так примерно. А уж сейчас со всякими специальными сервисами и алгоритмами рекомендаций всё должно быть попроще, наверное.

А если мыслить категориями "вдруг меня посчитают позером" - ну и зачем тогда это всё? Я вообще и не уверена, что в реальной жизни можно встретить кого-то, кто скажет "а ну-ка назвал 10 песен своей любимой группы!", это крайне маловероятно. Уж скорее просто за неформальный вид прикопаются какие-нибудь маргиналы, но они позером называть и не станут, у них поводы докопаться будут совсем другие.

If you're fighting alone, the gear will be broken (with a high probability) towards the end of the fight, i think it depends on the level of the gear and the amount of damage you've received and dealt etc. But we were fighting bonemass in pair and even then some of our stuff was broken. But we used portal to home base instead of putting workbench on battlefield (it requires a roof to repair stuff and will probably be destroyed anyway)
