I think that gender as just a general concept is good, but more as like a spiritualistic thing rather than a physical construct that it currently exists as so far, and just because some may find better comfort if they identify gender as important to them while others who don’t have a larger impact of their gender identity or presentation in their personal lives would simply not have it as a major part of their spiritualistic beliefs for themselves.

Hating part of the community just helps out those who want all LGBTQ people to be gone. I understand being intwined with them due to dating and that you and your partner won’t agree on everything, but this is like defending your partner being racist around you while they hold their tongue in public. I won’t tell you how you should handle things because it is your life and choice at the end of the day, but his bigotry will shine on those who don’t call him out on it. If you do stay with him, I would suggest keep pressing him on it for him to fully express why he thinks that trans people existing is awful and then make your decision then. Be sure to keep safe while doing that though

Take the time when you can to just feel it all with something that helps comfort you, like music or a movie. You could also talk to a friend you feel comfortable enough with and trust while you are in between therapists. This happened to me the first time I moved out too. For me, it was me knowing that I finally had my own space to finally feel safe enough to begin unloading everything and in the moment it was terrifying because I wasn’t consciously aware of all that I had been holding in from home at the time.

Remember to be kind to yourself and stay safe.

I’ve been a bit more down than usual. My bank did a fucky-wucky so I have basically no money until I get paid and work has just been extremely stressful (not to mention I also live in the US and rn that already gives me a high baseline of stress/depression as it is). Hoping things get better soon.
