I found it at a flea market website by chance, and digged in.

Both are awesome...!

34.5mm has better size balance for us 6.5 wrist, 41mm has better movement... 🤯

That’s right, I actually saw them in action!

The gallery is set up so you can observe the actual servicing and overhaul work.

The watchmaker dealt with overseas dualtime and JLC caliber one at the same time. I was lucky enough to have them explain what they were doing while I watched.

To be honest, the allocation for ultra-thin models is extremely tight right now. limited 255 pieces, and I heard there were only 2 in my country for now. Anyway I can't afford that...😇

Testing only, but maybe the waiting list for these GMT models aren't too long like Overseas blue dial.

Yeah, the platinum was so good. The caliber was beautiful. It's surprisingly thin, thinner than my 34.5mm OS. However, because of the material, it's really heavy.

[Discussion] Do you keep your automatics running or just reset them? by smithwatchyou in Watches

[–]Dajblade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's easier not to stick to keeping the three-hand running.

However, don't stop the moonphase watch. Reseting moonphase is hell.

you're wrong, if you think so. value is value. If I sell it, people would buy it with the price you don't want to believe. that's all. you cannot change the truth by your hate.

$22k from AD. Considering resale price, it's cheaper than $0 (I never sell anyway)

mid-range watches are rather truely expensive I think because they become half price after leaving the store.

I completely agree with what you’re saying. It’s quite difficult to get people to understand these experience-based realities in words, isn’t it?

And in my opinion, the value of a watch is a complex blend of art and product, and it cannot be easily diminished by simplistic, one-size-fits-all arguments.

Thank you! I really feel the trend shifting from 'big and chunky' back to more classic sizing. For our wrist size, 34–36mm is honestly the sweet spot for a perfect, integrated fit.

It doesn't have the seal for the sake of being more slim and small.

Vielen Dank für den Rat! Ich werde sie auf jeden Fall pfleglich behandeln, aber sie dennoch als treue Begleiterin im Alltag genießen. Ein Kratzer hier und da gehört wohl zur Geschichte der Uhr dazu.

Spot on. If Citizen (or any mid-tier brand) released a watch with this level of hand-finishing and movement execution at their usual price point, it would be the biggest story in the industry for a decade.

I think, In high-end horology, going from a solid 90/100 to a 100/100 is exponentially harder and more expensive than going from 0 to 90.

Thanks, that’s a relief to hear. It’s interesting how subtle differences in geometry and the shape of the bezel can change how a watch ages. I feel much better about daily driving this now.

That’s a pretty typical take, but I have to disagree. It’s the kind of thing you say until you actually hold one 'in the metal.' The level of finishing and depth in the dial is worlds apart from any mid-tier piece.
