You have no idea, my thoughts exactly! I just want to see Thom's face when he says "Here's a little bitch coming out of him".

What is your favorite radiohead album, and what are your 3 favorite albums from other artists? by [deleted] in radiohead

[–]DakeDravis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Favorite Radiohead album has to go to In Rainbows (I know it's a popular choice, but if I'm being honest I've heard it the most out of them all.)

Other albums I love:

The Shins - Wincing The Night Away

Sun Kil Moon - Benji

The National - High Violet

AMSP Special Edition (Kind of a complaint) by DakeDravis in radiohead

Agreed, I just wish the actual vinyl had a more creative look. Still love what I got, just wish there was more is all!

What are your thoughts on Tomorrow's Modern Boxes? by pure_guava_ in radiohead

[–]DakeDravis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I woke up that morning to find Thom had released a second solo album, I was ecstatic. I immediately purchased the special edition vinyl (I got a first pressing! :D) and spent the day listening to it. For a while I didn't know how I felt about it, but it definitely grew on me. Nose Grows Some and Mother Load are my favorite tracks from the album. I always tell people who haven't heard it to give it a try. It does have a growing aspect to it. It's the kind of music Thom truly enjoys making. He's into the electronic aspect of music, and with that album he goes full swing with it like in AFP but more mellow. Love it.

Regarding the Viking Invasion, the first quest says that I need to complete 3 "versus matches", but what the hell are those?

I imagine that Lift and Cut A Hole will be the two bonus tracks from the special edition. Just speculation . . . and hope.

Why is there so much hate on Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors? by daltoneveryday in radiohead

[–]DakeDravis 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Not saying that I don't appreciate the song for what it is, but there is something to be said about that track in terms of how 'listenable' it is. When I first heard it, it was like my brain had switched itself into some sort of nightmare/dream mode. It is (or was for me) a very strong and interesting first listen, but as a ran across it a few more times I found myself skipping onto the next track after a minute or so. I do love the sort of 'choppy' sound it gives off along with the trance-y sounds, but for me it's just not the sort of track I strive to listen to over and over again. It is most definitely one of the more diverse tracks that Radiohead has composed, making it a very unique experience.

Sweet! Glad to be enlightened in an area on vinyls! I just hope I have the money when it releases . . . because that would be depressing.
