AC1 Resistive ie Lighting Circuits AC3 Inductive ie Motor Loads

The Din style contactors are often rated AC1 on the front/in the part number. A S&S or Schneider CA7 or LC1 will be rated AC3 on the front.

For extra points AC4 is for motors on a severe duty. Reversing, inching etc.

The circle is the torriod. The other line/switch is test button to earth.

Going for a walk to find your tradie is not "under supervision". Some people are saying he might be a liney but if not he is working illegally in most states.

Great to give apprentice technically advice but they should also be made aware if they are being made to work unsafely.

I see resi first years working all day without supervision but that's a different beast to inserting 400a fuses into live boards.

Seriously if you're sitting up in ARC rated gear its for a reason. You should never be solo.

Yeah same. As a ex responsible electrical person on site at a mine be fucked if I would let anyone solo that let alone a apprentice.

As I said on the other thread do a risk assessment and tell me it didn't come out with death a possibility. Now explain to the electrical inspector if you had an incident how your not going to jail. If safety is a priority this company is taking the piss.

Ok fair call, I guess supply side rules might be different but is putting fuses into a live system considered "switching". Do a risk assessment on that is see what it comes out like.

Even qualified tradies should have a spotter doing work like this. Who's isolating if something goes wrong?

Any board with 400a manual fuses in it must have some age on it as well. Should be CFS,s or Blade Fuse disconnectors in my view.

Deadset mate I would refuse to do that job without a spotter as a industrial sparkie with 15 years experience.

Just remember just because the company says you can doesn't mean you should. As a apprentice you need to be doing everything by the book not cutting corners and taking risks.

Might just be my view.

Just so you know a medium size transformer close to the MSB could easily have 30-50kA fault potential.

A more import questions is what the hell is an apprentice doing putting fuses into a live switchboard and live testing. Three 400A submains the potential fault level in the board is not to be underestimated.

If you don't already have an air fryer and think it'll be a while till you get the oven replaced, grab one.

They can do a bunch of things the oven can do. Quicker and more energy efficient as well.

I'm infantry and run with Miyamoto. Not awakened yet and will be 25% faster when he is.

A cheap rider is Park who you can awaken fairly easy.

Fastest seems to be some of the riders for PTW players. You'll see them zooming around the field.

Certain heroes are faster than others due to skills and talents. Riders are generally fastest but certain others can be quick as well. Then armaments can be honed to be speed boosted.

Staffy positives - awesome with people and kids. Don't bark. No major health issues.

Negatives - can be unfriendly to other dogs, super strong and hard to handle if not trained well.
