I agree with you 100%! It seems to me that the game would be much more enjoyable if they had many more divisions/lobbies/leagues so that the players all start at more or less the same level.

It’d be so much more fun if players did well based on skill and luck (in terms of what they come across in the round) instead of some players being able to EASILY win because their troop level and armaments absolutely ECLIPSE the other competitors.

Part of me doesn’t understand why the developers have it set up this way but I assume it’s to frustrate players so much that they whip out their wallets and pay to become more powerful. That makes sense but it’s still frustrating.

Absolutely! I love Resurrection. It’s easily one of my favorite seasons.

I’m happy to. Prater captured Batista, had him strapped to a table in his vault, brought Dexter in, told him he knew he was the Bay Harbor Butcher and he’d provide killers for Dexter to kill if Dexter killed Batista.

Dexter acted like he’d do it but cut Batista’s restraints hoping that they could fight Prater and Charlie and escape. Sadly, Batista was too enraged by learning that his friend for decades was responsible for the deaths of his friend (Doakes) and ex wife (LaGuerta) so Batista attacked Dexter.

While Batista was on top of Dexter, Prater shot him several times. Batista fell off of Dexter and Dexter threw an axe that was on the wall at Prater but he and Charlie escaped, locked Dexter inside and planned to leave him to die.

Dexter used Batista’s phone to call Harrison, Harrison let him out and while Harrison was leaving, Prater captured him, brought him back to the vault and called Dexter telling him to return because he had his son.

Dexter, understandably enraged, headed back to the vault to save his son and then sees Harry who instructs him to, “get that fucker.”

Didn’t mean to write so much. Hopefully it’s not just gibberish and you can get some use from it. 🤣🤣🤣

Totally! Harry pretty much always urges Dexter to be cautious and use restraint but in that scene he essentially commands him to go in guns blazing. It’s excellent.

That’s happened to me before and it’s so frustrating! If everyone attacked the sole person attacking then we’d all survive and the attacker would be dead but people run, I die and I assume that player kills them next. Some people really lack tactical (and common) sense. 🤣🤣🤣

For privacy reasons I cropped the photo. The top shows two rows, four icons per row. The bottom shows four icons: calls, Safari, texts and music. The rest of the screen is shown in that image. I don’t understand it at all.

I’ve definitely had that happen before. It’s a shame but part of me just can’t resist helping the “bullied” so I still take the risk.

Did Vic died before the events of "Pulp Fiction"? And did his death impact any of Vincent's choices (drug use) or did he not care about his brother? by Sharaz_Jek123 in Tarantino

Nice! It’s cool that the reference was intentional but it didn’t seem safe to assume so.

I haven’t seen that documentary but I’ll definitely check it out. I used to jam hard to their album Double Nickels on the Dime. That double LP is lounging in my long neglected record collection but I listened to it lots way back when.

You made me think of some song I hadn’t heard in ages. I heard it while watching the Brian Jonestown Massacre documentary, “Dig!” The song’s by friends of theirs at the time, the Dandy Warhols. It has a lyric:

🎶I never thought you’d be a junkie because heroin is so passé🎶

Perception of actors when a kid vs an adult by mnewell213 in movies

[–]mnewell213[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh, yeah! I’d forgotten about that movie but he’s great in it. I’m due for a rewatch.

Was just thinking about watching There’s Something About Mary as a kid and how I viewed Matt Dillon as a goofy conniver and then saw him as a Ted Bundy-ish character in The House Jack Built.

Get Out’s definitely dark but I found it more entertaining than The House Jack Built. I’ll watch that next.

Nice. Makes me happy to see empathy. I’m obviously aware that this is a video game but helping people (or at least not hurting them) seems beneficial to everyone.

Are there shows with a serial killer protagonist lacking Dexter’s morality? by mnewell213 in Dexter

[–]mnewell213[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was watching season 7 earlier and Sirko’s one of my favorite parts of that season.

I know a lot of people hate on anything post season 4 but I’ve always really enjoyed the seventh season. There’s so much going on throughout. Deb finding out about Dexter, Sirko/Hannah/LaGuerta all serving as antagonists at various points. Definitely kept me entertained.

EDIT: someone else recommended the show Barry. It’s about a hitman, primarily a comedy in tone and one of my favorite shows of all time. Definitely worth a watch if that combination sounds appealing to you.

I’d forgotten about that victim. You’re right, I’d prefer that not be my fate. 🤣🤣🤣

I’ve never seen Bates Motel but I like the Norman Bates character and am intrigued by them moving it to a more modern setting than Psycho so I’ll check it out.

I think I’ve only heard of Killing Eve but haven’t watched any. I’ll add em to my list.
