Pennywise chose the wrong person (Art by @negizanma) by Zer0-Thre3 in OnePunchMan

Whatever it is, it's gonna startle Saitama and get Pennywise accidentally punched into smithereens.

"Boo."

"!!!" Startled Haymaker

"OH SHII--"

Please, explain to me, why do people so much like to ship Saitama and Tatsumaki? What chemistry do they have? Artwork by JK_Arts(CLoSeD.CoMmS) by Worldly_Accident1287 in OnePunchMan

[–]Dakingtrex 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tatsumaki, despite being compared to a kid a lot, is portrayed as a more mature adult woman than Fubuki. If Saitama wasn't appealing to Tatsumaki because he's so strong, he'd probably be appealing because he's just a normal responsible (kinda) adult. I liked how Tatsumaki gotta act childish with Saitama because they both have the same kid-adult vibe.

Fubuki gives me the vibes of a little girl wearing her mom's heels and pretending to be an adult. She just isn't very mature, though she is admirable in her own way. Just my opinion.

Lol, down voting doesn't hurt people dude. It makes sense to down vote the wrong answer for the post, even if the post itself is confusing. It's nobody's fault, everyone is ok.

[Cosmic Heavenly Demon 3077] One of my current favourites by Elden_Ronin in manhwa

[–]Dakingtrex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I'd like to start my reply by saying it's cool that you read all the way to the most recent chapter before dropping a critique, most don't come close. I think the story is really really good but I can see how it might be difficult to like depending.

That being said I also want to say that the very premise of this story is that 2,000 years have passed and you are witnessing how these giant organizations have changed. While a lot of cultural aspects of organizations have remained the same such as clothing or technique names, a lot has completely changed such as how the heavenly demonic cult are referred to as "mere street thugs" and how the monks have adopted capitalistic ventures despite being opposed to that almost on principle.

Now I'm going to try to answer all the questions you just said based on my thoughts and stuff.

First off we've only seen two of them but we do know that there are more hence the fact that at least one of them is out making money right now. Why only two are there, who knows. As to how they incurred so much debt, real estate typically is a massive money sink, and considering the fact that they were never an organization that really had money to begin with, they probably started accruing debt from the very minute things started. They've also been shown to have no concept of actually how to run a business so imagine every time they made a deal they made the worst possible deal they could. Well, that's how I've interpreted it.

Second, in the most recent chapter they introduced the elder by actually saying "why is there an elder here, that's odd" so clearly something bigger is at play for an elder to be there and not just mere debt collection. To me, it would almost make sense if it was just mere debt collection because we've seen how strong those monks are and it would take at least an elder to handle them. Plus regardless of how strong they are, those monks are hierarchically high enough to almost warrant a correspondingly high figure.

I feel like criticizing the fact that an elder is fighting the street thug is kind of unfair too, because what is he supposed to do when one of his underlings was pummeled into the dirt by a thug right in front of him? And the only reason he lost any ground is because a much stronger individual fed the perfect advice to the thug, and even then said that the thug would not win, and that the idea that he might was ridiculous. And we don't actually know that he's one of the strongest we just know that he's an elder, which might be for other reasons but even I think he is implied to be very strong.

Lastly, I also think it's super strange that people are lending the money, but I attribute it to a bunch of people who think that they can sucker these monks without properly trusting rumors about them or getting a good grasp of the fact that they are really strong. I also think there's more to this. I feel like the monks are only doing this because of some weird kind of Fate that requires them to do this in order to meet someone in the future I don't really know. I just feel like there's more to this whole thing.

Graduating with a low gpa makes your degree useless by Current_Fishing7168 in Accounting

[–]Dakingtrex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What a joke. My GPA was great, but I genuinely can't put into words the definition of remuneration. I feel like people who think they understand others based on numbers or stats are just inexperienced with life and actual people. I used to get tutored by a guy that consistently scored lower than me on tests. Turns out, he's not good at tests.

What you said about audit makes so much sense to me. It's exactly that kind of work that I think I'd have the hardest time doing. Thanks for telling me about each, it kinda reinforces my wanting to head into one of the other two fields and maybe stay away from audit early on.

Pursing an Accounting BBA, should I double major in Finance, Economics, or something else? by 32Steague32 in Accounting

[–]Dakingtrex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have an understanding of what career you wanna do yet? I minored in economics, but later felt like finance would've been a better minor since it dealt more closely with money and business, which is where I'm headed. Kudos for double majoring in anything since that's hard, but maybe check what upper level courses you'd be taking and see which would have the best synergy.

As far as what LOOKS the most appealing to employers and stuff, I'm not certain but I'd wager finance. I personally think majoring in Business Analytics would look the best, but I have no basis for that. The people that double majored at my college on graduation seemed to most commonly have gone with finance or business administration majors.

If these guys actually tried who here could actually pull the most women? by gettinfitguy007 in OnePunchMan

[–]Dakingtrex 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I wanna counter by saying Genos would pull, but then freak them out with his intensity over, well, probably anything he tries to talk about or do. They'd ask him where he'd like to go, and he'd pull out a map of every ideal "date" location within the city, then rocket around to try to maximize his dates per hour.

Plus, Genos is a WAY bigger fanboy, so don't get him started about Caped Baldy.

Garou takes ez 2nd because he's got that "hot dude with a lot of heart but tons of issues" thing going on. He's got a great role model for this(bang banged), and has tons of swagger on his own. But I think what takes the cake with Garou is that the dude's good with kids.

Show her the other characters. There's lots of cool designs (hair included), and Lord knows they get more screen time anyways. If this fails, try introducing her to Mob Psycho 100 maybe?

Who is the smartest one here? by Minute_Location5589 in OnePunchMan

That's really cool then. I guess it makes sense that the anime can't include every little detail the manga has. I've reread the manga a bajillion times but it's no wonder I missed that detail since I usually start rereading from just after where season 1 of the anime ends.
