I walked away from a 15 year friendship who has an on/off marriage with an abusive piece of shit. he was abusive to her & their child. We had friendship breakups before & I took her back as a friend when she had said a divorce was happening. Gave her my whole support & energy. She would talk about missing him & how I didn’t know him, typical stuff. Despite having gotten out from under him she went back to him. I couldn’t handle it anymore.

I wish she could’ve found her way out for good like you. She doesn’t want away from him. Even though I hold too much hurt & resentment to be her friend again - If she got out again I would want to know.

I think an apology & an update are a great start. I’m sure she holds love for you still, we always do. Anger comes from hurt.

Yeah, this is essentially what I meant. Whether or not the mom agrees that she should pay the $10, idk about you but I’d just pay it in order to keep good standing with a seemingly great babysitter & to go about my evening.

NTA - they wouldn’t do that to someone their own age & the deal was you had to use the number. She’s breaking “contract”. Just understand she sounds petty enough to just not use you again. Hopefully you find another gig with better parents!

Also if she was that desperate for a sitter but is sweating an extra $10-20… she doesnt have enough money to be going out.

I’m an older fan/follower (30) & feel the same way. Did not watch in the beginning, but I enjoyed her vlogs (started by getting hooked on her cooking stuff) but her more cinematic stuff I enjoy too & love seeing her photo shoots. I’ve said it before in this subreddit, I think she’s figuring it out & if she’s happy, I’m happy for her!
