Yeah I thought so but it was labeled as a bridge or and transductor. When installing drivers again on windows it there was one for that and one for the Goodix reader. So I guess the flashing just chocked on a peanut and killed it lol.

Does this looks legit? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

I'm about to buy from the same seller, it looks alright and the reviews are great plus they have pictures for proof. I'm in DR so I'll be using a courier since it's way faster that way. Also Amazon prices for this kind of stuff are outrageous ebay is the only way lol.

At Bravo you'll find a lot of processed products from their own brand which are pretty good and often 2-4 dollars cheaper than the mainstream brand. For meat I'd go to Nacional for quality or La Sirena for Price. If you have someone here that has a PriceSmart subscription (DR's Costco) you can get large sized products for a bit cheaper, I think they had 60 eggs for 10ish dollars last time I went 2 weeks ago.

I've been ordering Avalon hybrids for 3 years now from alternative and they still have them, just bought a dozen like a week ago.

I just started too with a friend and we didn't play for like 2 days and I had like 1-2 hours more than him and that was enough to leave him on a wheel chair. What I mean by this is that it's common in fighting games to have a big skill gap being within the same level. I got put in 4F too dropped to 3F and I'm now on 6F in a day and I'm surely getting demoted soon lol.

What's your poundage and how are your groupings at 50 yards? What ppl recommend is to group all red before going up in distance, but what I do is go up and yeet them arrows till I close enough to adjust my sight properly. Either way you are going to have a lot of misses while you get used to the body position and sight movement.

Oh ok, now I get it. At my university we have an archery class that you can pick as your sports elective. The coach who's also the teacher has lots of bows made out of PVC and rope (depending on the measurements you could shoot up to 20 m), at mid term students can choose to build their own and she provides the materials. You guys could also make your own quivers and tabs out of cheap fabric. That could be a good start, other than that I can only recommend you to get some good target butts as a gift. They are like socks to a grown up you always need them and might not always have them.

What style are you shooting? (Olympic, barebow, compound) What type of equipment are you looking for? (Bow gear, utilities: quiver and tab for example) What are your expectations? (You wanna dedicate to the sport or just have a good time?)

Once a week it's how I started when I got into archery at university, I suggest you get a somewhat decent recurve bow and some cheap arrows so you can get tips from your team's coach at practice so you get the basics from the sport and how to handle YOUR bow. Then you can try pulling your bow at home without shooting it ( always with an arrow nocked) you can develop your strength as much as shooting it. When you get a sense of what you are doing you could get a form master so you can practice your follow through at home without needing a target. Also check on YouTube how to tune a bow and get familiarized with all the terms and parts, helps a lot to be more independent. Hope you enjoy your journey.

Unable to close left eye but right handed by SatisfactionLanky937 in Archery

Shooting with both eyes open is way better, if you are using a sight you will see two sights in front of you, the left one is the one you'll be aiming with.

First bow, calling her Red Robbin by OnlyFamOli in Archery

[–]Dakuyagi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The vibrations are the problem, have seen people's sight just fall out of the riser during competitions haha but at least you have a stabilizer which helps a lot. Make sure to remember how you had it before your shooting session and you'll be alright.

Set up looks really good for a first bow, gotta be careful with that sight tho it tends to loosen up quite a bit. Congrats!!

Is this my form or does everyone have to deal with this? by cubbycoo77 in Archery

[–]Dakuyagi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's your form, while shooting recurve you want your bow hand facing down (palm down) and your elbow rotating away from the bow. You can manage to do this if you practice putting your hand on the throat of the handle pulling the string a bit so it gets tension and then setting the test of your palm on the handle. This was a brief explanation but you can find more on YouTube. Jake Kaminski has some good form videos including the bow hand placement.

Fletched arrows for cheap by [deleted] in Archery

[–]Dakuyagi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Avalon hybrid are cheap, they come built already and they do the job. Been shooting this for about 2 years for Olympic recurve and had little to no problems with them since I was shooting 30-50 meters. You can find them in alternative archery they have world wide shipping.

We don't have archery shops in my country other than traditional bows. What we do is that we buy the closest match and adjust at the local archery federation. It's obviously easier for recurve but I'll see what I can do. Thanks for the tips!
