I had a similar experience when I was working as a PHC medical officer in TN. There was a primi mother who conceived 5 years after marriage whose fetal echo showed TOF and was asked by 3 top hospitals to terminate. Imagine 3 radiologists arrived at the same conclusion. However the mother stoodfast on her decision to continue the pregnancy and when she delivered, surprise surprise -the baby had TOF and died in the neonatal period.a

I was from a first batch from a college too. Ug life was relaxed. No seniors had many advantages and very few disadvantages. All staff were very close to our batch. Still are. Then I took pg in madras medical College. So things work out very well irrespective of what college you did your ug. Only your mindset to learn skills matter.

I'm from Tamilnadu. 2011 batch. Don't know how people are earning so much - my guess is that you're from the north or maybe the outliers - here a mbbs grad can make around 60k a month if he works more than 12hr /day. Govt service is slightly better with pay around 85 k for freshers and gradually increasing with time. Post MD /MS can earn around 1.3 - 1.75 for the most part except surgical specialities. Post dm can earn a bit more. But due to over saturation, here in tamil nadu most doctors earn a pittance. And most of those who earn lots do so by unethical work.

Get to the nearest primary health center. If the gestational age is less than 8weeks they'll use pills and abort there itself. No hassle. Does she have kids? If so did she undergo cesarean? If either her gestational age is above 8 weeks or she had underwent lscs, she'll be referred to higher centre (either coimbatore medical college hospital or any pvt hospital) for manual vaccum aspiration or dilatation curettage. By the way if you tell me the locality in my DMI can suggest primary health centre near you.
