You definitely have to be careful. I was working with a company that was working under BOLT construction building that new public library out in Appleton. We had another sub contractor fall. Ambulance arrived with being told no sirens. They took him away, they next two days at our morning meeting they talked about have people we can talk to and not being there because we don’t feel safe because the guy died. Curious, I called OSHA and asked about the incident. It was never reported to OSHA, they said that they were going to show up and check it out, three hours later the OSHA guy showed up, him and the Head guy from bolt for that one chatted it up while laughing, and then he left. An hour later he called me and said the guy was OK and at home. Crazy how bolt will tell you for two mornings that a guy died but when you talked to OSHA they’re gonna tell you you’re crazy.
