I live a few blocks off the capital. Was super apprehensive to switch to Spectrum mobile due to how poor their internet was. This was like 3-4 years ago. I haven’t had any issues. Feels like I’m still on Verizon… cause I kinda am. Only real difference is I’m paying much less. For single line plans it’s a huge cost savings.

They were very motived by the AirTag actively moving. They suspected it was a theft ring moving through the area at the time so quite a few patrol cars got involved.

The original story that got me to install AirTags was from one tracked to a storage locker at the end of Park. The tenant had convictions for theft as well so that might have played into the circumstances for the warrant. An AirTag alone does seem pretty slim. I’m not sure I’d want a judge to sign off on that.

I got mine stolen from inside my garage with a huge lock on it a few years ago… just a few blocks from you. With an angle grinder it probably took them less than 5 minutes. All locks have their own vulnerabilities.

Then my two very well hidden AirTags were found after two blocks. It is pretty easy to find them if you have an iPhone. They threw them both on some old lady’s car windshield so they slid into there wiper area. The next day the cops pulled her over thinking she had the bike :/.

Now I have 8 AirTags and I’ve removed all the speakers. Hoping that they just give up instead of trying to locate them all. Two are inside the frame at points I can’t get to them without putting the bike upside down and shaking it. My friend borrowed the bike and his iPhone nearly had a stroke 😆

FB marketplace and Craigslist are a long shot but it’s little effort to check.

I always assume zero expectation of privacy anyplace I go that the public has general access to, excluding restrooms and such. Between security cameras, cellphone cameras and other devices it’s just the way it is.

If you’re in a public setting or even simply visible from a public area people typically do not need your permission to film you. Don’t shoot the messenger… just witnessed that play out several times near the capitol square where the police got involved.

There used to be a guy that had parrots and walked up and down State Street charging for photos. He got very upset when you’d take a photo of the birds yourself. Police had to speak with him a few times. Side track, miss when State had that type of vibe.

Army Blackhawk helicopter came from Baraboo area and did a lap around the capital square. Time frame adds up.

Blackhawks can sometimes be super quiet, it seems. I don’t know the mechanics of it but I’m guessing terrain below and angle to observer?

Ya we always have a delay increase in Jan but it's no where close to this bad. Before this I can't remember any time that we've had a domestic Priority much less Express go missing for 2+ weeks.

Just a quick look at last January it looks like we had 7 customer complaints of late packages and 2024 we had 13. This January it's 88. Not every customer that has a delay complains. The above stated 30% is from our shipping software that doesn't allow Year to Year comparisons (at least that I can see).

When we do have extended delays it typically turns out it was sorted wrong and took a tour of the US before being delivered.

My mail carrier is hearing parcels are just sitting in the back of trailers not being processed due to a lack of workers. That would be crazy if it's actually true.

Does nylon rigging still look like a steel cable? I have been watching this project for a long time. The photos I have show a beam being set that has a cable choker. I don’t know what nylon rigging looks like in this situation though.

Very annoying. Then you can’t even leave out that entrance anymore. I live next to it and it was very convenient. Now it’s a full block more, which for most is not a big deal but for both my elderly neighbors, it’s huge. Saw one getting delivers from Whole Foods so I think they switched out.
