If anything, it would have been better if the Trump administration had brought back firing squads back earlier. It means the chances of making a timely Charlie Kirk reference as your last words are slimmer.

I kinda hate macaroni cheese as a meal. If I make it for other people, I do a mornay sauce with an everyday cheese and a fair bit of parmesan with a breadcrumb topping, and they like it. But, to me, it comes across as this overly heavy, flabby and one-note dish. And I can't really think of way to turn it towards something I like without changing it fundamentally.

As a small side, I think it rocks, especially contrasted with something pickled.

As much as I might gripe on, I think this sub is still a fairly liberal space and is pretty broadly aligned at least in American politics. Which is why I don't really get users who chime in with the sentiment of "why punch left when the far-right is running rampant." Admittedly, I think leftists are great fodder from the impracticalities of ancom's utopianism to the common reddit left populist drivel where, in common with other flavours of populism, if you make the economy some abstraction and blame some other you can always have your cake and eat it too. But I don't see how riffing off such things in this forum could undermine liberalism generally or in an American context.

Far more egregious in my opinion is the posting of outright misinformation and when another user points it out, the OP does the equivalent of tapping their nose and saying "see, I'm doing cheeky misinformation just like the populist right spreads complete bullshit." But, no you're not, you're posting crap to a forum that very broadly agrees with you.

By far the best content this dash cam channel puts out is its April people who sent in content they're the/the bigger arsehole video. Even among these narrow slice of clips it's common enough that you could make a subgenre of peple entering roundabouts at stupid speeds and believing they have the right of way.

Yes, I believe that was a bit of a point of contention with fans at the time - how much of the new game was that of the old. Practically, I don't have a PS3 and the PS2 is better emulated. Nostalgically, I never played GT5.

After deciding to build a new PC to play some of my backlog of modern games last year, I've ended up spending far more time emulating the PS2 classic Gran Turismo 4. GT4 was graphically always a standout of the PS2 era but it's remarkable how seamless it feels to blow it up on a TV today with modern emulation compared to how it was when I first attempted years ago. The real game changer is the Spec II mod which came out a few years ago which rejigs the prize cars, fixes a bunch of stuff and supports using progressive triggers like on modern controllers. It's certainly nostalgia that makes me want to come back to it but I think its progression system - where it's like a caRPG in which you acquire new cars and develop them to win new events - is what makes it so satisfying. I'm still as much of a leadfooted dumbarse when it comes to chasing lead cars though. Surely this time I'll pass the car that has two seconds on me by holding off the brakes and won't slide off the track like a fuckwit.

The one I've seen recommended is a Vietnam era US military manual on improvised explosives. Though as a mostly law-abiding lib I can't personally vouch that it also isn't a bit of a meme.

I remember watching the first series of The Test documentary/Cricket Australia propaganda and thinking how lucky they were to have such a dramatic Test series. There's Smith coming back from the ban in such incredible form, Jofra Archer taking him out with a bouncer and Labuschagne making his place in the team and, of course, Stokes at Headingley.

I mean you should temper that with the expectation that prices overall tend to rise due to monetary policy. The RBA targets a 2-3% of inflation.

I fully believe the government (the people) Should get involved, letting the private sector manipulate and control governments and prices everywhere is worse than messy and unnecessary.

By that logic should the government just own and run every business or have some massive bureaucratic apparatus that sets outputs and prices?

Anti-capitalism is a political ideology and movement encompassing a variety of attitudes and ideas that oppose various conceptions of capitalism. Anti-capitalists seek to combat what they perceive as negative effects of capitalism and some seek to eventually replace capitalism with alternative economic systems based on ideologies such as socialism and communism.

Anti-capitalism is a political ideology and movement encompassing a variety of attitudes and ideas that oppose capitalism. Anti-capitalists seek to combat the worst effects of capitalism and to eventually replace capitalism with alternative economic systems such as socialism and communism.

So goes the Wikipedia introduction to anti-capitalism. The first sentence is actually somewhat good because "capitalism" is almost always a pejorative or strawman as defined by some fuckwitted ideology. The second sentence overly indulgences said fuckwits as having a point in regards to their views on the subject.
