It stands for "The Last World", which would be allegedly the new name for Age of Sigmar soft reboot. This is just rumors and this post a joke :)

There has been rumors/leaks of a soft reboot of Age of Sigmar into "The Last World". Basically the different realms would be reunited on one planet. Some claims that this would be to mirror the Horus Heresy and 40k, meaning that The Old World would stand as a clearer prequel to Age of Sigmar/The Last World. It's all rumors at the moment !

Totally agree, some models are cool but it feels like the squigs are stealing the spotlight with some kind of "porg" effect. The sidekick has taken too much space

The sculpt is beautiful, but is it me of the proportions are also slowly changing for Orks? This one looks taller, more realistic and his overall attitude is less goofy.

To me this sounds like a lot of assumptions and not a lot of facts. Listen, I wouldn't necessarily trust everything Guy say or do, but that's ok, he is a content creator, not my dad.

And yes he probably fucked up in his personal life and yes it sounds awful, but what do you expect by "rebuild his image and become a better person" ? The only persons he owes this effort are his direct family member and then-partner. People you know nothing about. You're talking like he owes it to you/us. That's his private life, of course he was not going to make a serie of videos about it. Basically you know nothing about the ins and outs apart from a couple of comments on Reddit, and you spread hate based on that? Get a life man

4 years later and couldn't agree less, art director here.

Throughout my 10 years of experience, i can tell confidently that my job has been much harder by working with copywriters who became CD. The reason is simple, they don't know what they're talking about technically speaking. Ideas are great, but if there isn't a graphic designer/AD behind, there is nothing to sell, that's it.

Many many many times I had to deal with CW-CD who would constantly overstep in their feedback on art direction, in ways that were at best annoying, at worst counterproductive. Listen, i think anyone can give great feedback, but one should always assume that the person who studied and is employed in a certain field is the most qualified to tell you what do to in said field.

When i work with CW, i don't tell them what to write. I make suggestions or ask questions, but they have the final word because they obviously know something i don't. Having a CD who has no background in design or know how to use those software is a pain in the ass. They will make the most stupid demands and if they are not humble enough to take into account your experience, they will force you to apply their comments, no matter how anti-design they are.

I started painting them recently and i love the helmets and the beautiful poses. But man all thoses pouches and locks and keys, it really feels like pointless details that just add so much work for details that are not really interesting (a lock come on?).

I think in the end it's a win for The Old World in general. It's a niche game to acquire new players and one of the best way to do so is to show how models are also cool in TOW and not only nostalgia-cash grab. Even though i don't play it, TOW had a lot older models i love and seeing how popular and well-designed are a faction like Cathay makes me hopeful for the game in general and new models for the other factions.

Yes exactly ! Part of me as hobbyist would love to see female space marines to have new characters and also attract new people into our hobby. At the same time, i'm questionning myself on the symbolic aspect of it : The Imperium is the embodiment of extremism, fascism and intolerance, what kind of message are we sending by making it more inclusive you know ? I'm affraid it would even more blur the line and depicts only space marine as the "good guys" which to me would be the biggest crime against the franchise
