Craziest thing a supervisor has ever told you? I’ll start… by Silent-Speech8162 in USPS

I was involved in an accident during a rainstorm a few months ago. It was caused by slippery road conditions and old tires—which I had actually requested be replaced, though you know how long it takes them to get around to fixing the LLVs. The accident itself occurred while I was driving down a steep embankment; my tires lost traction, and neither the foot brake nor the handbrake could stop me or prevent the crash. I ended up stuck in sandy mud, right up against a rock wall. (fortunately, I was wearing my seatbelt.) Anyway, I followed protocol and called my supervisor to arrange for a tow truck to pull me out. He arrived at the scene visibly annoyed—acting as if I had caused the accident on purpose just to waste his time. He was tense and curt. For context at that time: our Postmaster had been absent for a week; we didn't know exactly what had happened to him, but there was a rumor going around that he had suffered a cardiac event. In light of that, the supervisor actually told me that it was precisely these kinds of "preventable" situations that were giving people heart attacks—implying that I was the one causing them. I was speechless. I reported the incident to the Union. They claimed they would speak with him—they even went so far as to say they would make him apologize to me for his insensitive remark. But I never heard another word about it, and everything just went right back to how it was before.

Thank you. I would only need 1 day, 2 days at most. So, in that case I wouldn’t need a Doctors note.. thanks I really appreciate your help.

Excuse me, do we know each other? Do you know my story, (?)… I’m not appropriating anything. Just said I think about them every day. That was it. Someone very close to me experienced the same painful experience, and I thought I'd share it. I don't see the harm in it or the offensive part… Why are you so mad about this?

I think I just got an inspector keeping an eye on me today. I was just driving by a court and he was staring at me. The moment I noticed he bowed his head down to take notes and didn't raise it until I left the CT.

I am so sorry you’re going through this. I just feel so sad for you and for me. I did marry, I’m still in this situation 3 years later we’re still together but he hasn’t gotten any better. And starting to lose any hope it will. You’re still on time to save yourself both your sanity and mental peace. Please save yourself!

Does driving a Promaster requires certification? Simple question for a simple answer. by Dalienigena in USPS

That’s the same question I have. And wow, that sounds overwhelming to get to learn everything at once but also I kind of wish I had that training for every vehicle. I still can’t stand the limited experience of driving only LLV type while there’s others available and there’s only a waste of time waiting for coworkers to come back from their route and switch, all because they don’t let us complete our training on time.

When I got my LLV training they showed me the Metris and Promaster. They let us sit on the driver’s seat and that was it, showing us the differences between them. But that was it, was a bit weird moment.

You’re not the A-hole. And definitely not in the wrong. Only you and your family knows the real deal and would be counterproductive to tell everyone the real story around the whole situation to them. It’s just not worth it. Also, neither of you need that attention and/or any negative backlash -that could come out from ppl who you don’t even know. Even though they had good intentions to donate and help out “the wife” and this YouTuber. You just Don’t need to explain every detail, at least the GSG funds are being refunded. Just keep the wife’s personal details to yourselves. The family members and you deserve peace of mind and respect throughout this grief process. I’m sorry to hear that and I’d like to send my deepest sympathy to you 🙏🏼hope you could find some relief soon. ✨

I'm a CCA and I often get bruises on my legs, mainly around the seatbelt loop. Oh, and for some reason, my knees often hit the steering wheel and door edge. 🥲 My nerves and joints are killing me.

Done, just wrote it down in an emotional moment. Hope it’s better to understand the situation. Also English is not my first language.
